Georgia's atmospheric Soul Shutter short is now available to view on youtube at a resolution of 480p. The film is on the Big Tank Productions youtube account here. Georgia made the film in December 2006 at Compstall Mills in Cheshire.

The What's On TV spoilers are now out for this Sunday's episode of Casualty, All The Time In The World. The episode stars Wendy Craig who back in 2004 starred with Georgia in an episode of another medical drama, The Royal.

Jane Danson has been voted best actor in the Coronation Street Live 50th Anniversary episode by the cast and crew according to a News Of The World article quoted on the Digital Spy website.

Some more brilliant acting performances by Georgia in tonight's Casualty! The hostage situation and the scene when Edward choose James had some of the best acting seen on TV for a long time. Nice to see Lucy-Jo Hudson (@LucyJo_Hudson) in some scenes with Georgia too even though they didn't really have any dialogue together (about as much as they had together in Corrie!).

The mistake made by James in administering ligncaine instead of prilocaine was very similar to the mistake made by Ruth in Series 22 Episode 12 when she administered bupivacaine instead of prilocaine.

The Giggle Group website has a video showcase of their visual effect work including several Casualty scenes and one involving what looks like Nick's New Year storyline.

Lucy-Jo Hudson (@LucyJo_Hudson) has just tweeted that she can't make the Lorraine show tomorrow due to the weather conditions. Lucy was due to talk about her appearance in the Christmas Casualty episode.

Jamie Lomas was interviewed on today's This Morning and he did mention his guest lead in January's Casualty but he didn't say anything about the storyline.

Georgia's friend Joanne Froggatt is appearing in two concurrent plays at the new Bush Theatre in January and February, The Knowledge and Little Platoons. There are lots of photographs taken during rehearsals at the Bush's new Library location on the Bush's flickr site.

The BBC spoiler video for the Xmas episode of Casualty, Winter Wonderland, is up!

The episode airs on Holiday Monday, 27th December @ 19:10 and it promises to be a cracker!

The BBC Programme information spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on 15th January, Altered States, and yet more disturbing things are happening to Ruth. The episode features Jamie Lomas in Ruth's storyline, the other half of Corrie's Kym Marsh.

Harvey's The Furniture Store has as insider blog on the Corrie 50th Gala Ball on its website and also mentions that more photographs from the event will be appearing in OK magazine soon.

Toyah may not have returned to the Street for Leanne's wedding but Georgia attended the Coronation Street 50th anniversary Gala Ball last night held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester. Georgia looked amazingly glamorous as always!

At least Toyah got a mention during the 50th week when, in last night's episode, Carla pretended to be Toyah in order to get to see Leanne at the hospital.

To coincide with Corrie's 50th, writer Daran Little has been posting some of his old Corrie photos on twitter including this one with Georgia, Jane, Adam and Steven!

Lucy-Jo Hudson (@LucyJo_Hudson) is appearing on the Lorraine show on Wednesday 22nd December to talk about her role in the Christmas Casualty episode. Lucy-Jo, who played Katy Harris in Corrie, is involved in Ruth's Xmas storyline.

Georgia is featured in the BBC Programme Information spoilers for 10th successive time for the Casualty episode showing on 8th January, Epiphany. This episode stars Lucian Laviscount (@LucianLaviscount), who played Ben in Corrie.

The itv.com website has a lovely video of Steven Arnold's time on Corrie including an emotional speech to cast and crew after his final scene following 15 years on the Street.

Jody Latham, who plays junkie Mickey in the Casualty Xmas episode (27th December), and is very much involved in Ruth's storyline was interviewed on last Thursday's The Wright Stuff. The interview, which features a clip from the Xmas episode (at about 5 mins in) is still available for one more day on the Channel Five website here.

Ruth's presentation went much better than her previous one at Edward's conference. She's really mastered PowerPoint. Shame she didn't give out Mads' statistic of being the most annoyingly self-righteous member of staff. The rest of the staff are just miserable to not want to enjoy a great day at the races.

The BBC Programme Information spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on 1st January 2011, All The Time In The World. Ruth is featured for what must be a record 9th week in a row! After Michael Starke, the episode stars another former Royal employee, Wendy Craig.

The TV Choice magazine paper version has some additional material to the online interview (spoilers) Sunetra Sarker (Zoe) gave to the magazine earlier in the week. Sunetra says about this Saturday's Casualty episode;

'It was lovely for Georgia and I to film together. But we kept breaking into fits of giggles when we had to face off against each other. We genuinely get on so well and we were always complaining that we don't work with each other enough - then we get this episode, and we couldn't hold it together. Luckily our director was wonderful.'

If Georgia were to watch the entire Coronation Street back catalogue on the desert island it would take four months to view the 7,485 episodes back to back without any sleep. This fact is contained in the Inside Soap Corrie 50th Special magazine.

Georgia has given an interview in this week's Radio Times according to Yahoo News. In the interview Georgia says that, even in Bristol, she is still recognised more for her Corrie role than she is for Casualty despite it being more than seven and a half years since she left!

Sunetra Sarker (Zoe) has given a great interview (spoilers) to the TV Choice website in which she describes next Saturday's confrontational storyline with Ruth. She says that herself and Georgia both wore Dynasty style shoulder pads and couldn't help themselves giggling!

The Inside Soap Coronation Street 50th Special magazine has a new photograph of The Battersbys from Christmas 1998 featuring Georgia wearing some very attractive deer antlers!

The BBC Casualty website has uploaded a new preview video of Series 25 Eps 13-25 and its looks absolute amazing. To the music of Bronski Beat's Smalltown Boy, Ruth is seen in lots of new scenes including one in a club where's she looks stunning dancing manically in a tiny purple dress. There are some very worrying and distressing looking scenes as well though.

Georgia once again produced some stunning performances in tonight's Casualty. I think Georgia is bringing out some of the best acting from Derek Thompson too. The home scenes and Clinical Manager scenes give Ruth lots of variety too and Georgia always looks nice in smart clothes. Well done to Sunetra and Suzanne for such a good episode too!

According to Leanne in last night's Corrie, Toyah can't come to her and Peter's wedding because she is backpacking.

Sunetra Sarker has given an interesting interview in today's Daily Express Saturday magazine about her and Suzanne Packer's experiences directing tonight's episode of Casualty. She describes what it was like directing Georgia and Steven Miller during their big scenes. She also mentions how Zoe and Ruth clash in future episodes!

holby.tv News have announced that Will Sharpe, who plays Dr. Yuki Reid, is sadly leaving Casualty and that his final episode is showing on 18th December.

This week's Inside Soap magazine carried details of a new Holby/Casualty crossover currently being filmed according to Digital Spy.

Digital Spy has the confirmed schedule of Coronation Street specials showing during its 50th anniversary week beginning on Monday Dec 6th.

Georgia is featured once again in the new BBC Programme Information spoilers out today for the episode of Casualty showing on 11th December, Ask No Questions. Ruth appears in scenes with a character called Joe played by Michael Starke whom Georgia once appeared in an episode of The Royal with.

The BBC Casualty website preview clip for this Saturday's episode of Casualty, Guilty Secrets, is now up and it contains scenes of an upsetting nature for fans of Ruth. At least Zoe and Tess can't be cruel to Ruth as they're directing!

The What's On TV website has a new interview with Georgia in which she talks about last Saturday's Casualty episode.

I'm not sure if Ruth's outfit in last night's Casualty was deliberately styled to be asymmetrically off the shoulder or whether the baggy style of the top just slipped but either way the bare shoulder look was very becoming!

Georgia gave such a superb acting performance in tonight's Casualty that she made even the outlandish storyline believable. The scene in the lift with Edward and James was especially brilliant as were the emotional scenes with Charlie. Hopefully Georgia didn't catch a cold in all that rain!

It was announced today that the Bush Theatre is moving to a new home in the old Shepherd's Bush library building, a short walk from its current Shepherd's Bush Green location where Georgia performed Christmas Is Miles Away.

Another great episode of Casualty. At least someone likes Ruth - Jay's Nan! Ruth looked absolutely amazing at the end of the episode in her civilian clothes. Its a shame she didn't end up in the pub as she rarely says yes to an invitation.

New BBC Programme information spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on 27th November, Truth Will Out (Ep. 13). Ruth again has a starring role for the 4th week in a row making the entire November a Ruth orientated month! Georgia has some scenes with Fiona Allen who, as Julia Stone, once had an affair with Mike Baldwin in Corrie.

Yesterday Georgia cut the tape at the reopening of the St. Peter's Hospice charity shop on Westbury Hill in Westbury-on-Trym near Bristol. Georgia also helped launch the St. Peter's Midnight Walk earlier in the year.

The BBC Casualty website has been given a new look and also Ruth's character profile page has been updated. There seems to be a mistake in Ruth being called Ruth Peters in the profile though unless Ruth decides to forgot her unhappy past and change her name, perhaps to her mum's maiden name?

Surprisingly two days early, the new BBC spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on 20th November, Guilty Secrets (Ep. 12), and Ruth has a big part once again! This is the episode directed by Suzanne Packer and Sunetra Sarker and there's also a special interview feature with Suzanne. Travis Oliver, who plays Edward's gay acquaintance James Molloy, was interviewed recently by gaydarnation.com. In the interview he was asked "will we get to see you play gay in the future?"

Another very interesting episode of Casualty with some great scenes involving Ruth. It didn't really look cold enough at the end to get frostbite though and it even looked like it was raining.

So Edward is gay after all. Well done to everyone who predicted this to be the case in the previous two polls where 64% predicted Edward was gay and 53% predicted Charlie would find Edward with a man in the store cupboard.

The Huddersfield Daily Examiner has an interview with Paul Warriner who is now playing DC Redfearn in Corrie but who as, lecturer John Arnley, was Toyah's main reason for departing Weatherfield nearly 8 years ago.

Stephen Billington (Edward in Casualty), is starring in a new play, There Will Be More, at The Cock Tavern Theatre in London. The play runs between 26th October and 13th November. The timing of the play does seem to coincide with a departure from Casualty around about the time of the Christmas episode filming.

Georgia once more has a starring role in this week's BBC Casualty spoilers for the episode showing on 6th November, The Inspection (Ep 10). It does appear that this episode is the first to be shown on the new BBC One HD channel although Casualty itself isn't yet filmed in HD.

A familiar face returned in tonight's Corrie. Paul Warriner who played Toyah's unfaithful lecturer boyfriend, John Arnley, and was last seen being attacked by Toyah with a statue in her penultimate episode, turned up as DC Redfearn, the investigating officer in Graham's car accident.

I thought I'd upload a video of Harry Harper saying goodbye to all the ED staff in his final Casualty episode, Thicker Than Water. All the staff are present apart from Ruth, who was still in a coma, and Charlie who Harry says goodbye to in the episode's final scene.

Georgia isn't in the Radio Times cast list (spoilers) for the episode of Casualty showing on 30th October, No Place Like Home. Hopefully Ruth might at least appear in a non speaking capacity as she did when she wasn't in the cast list for the 9th October episode.

Georgia was seen in the audience of last night's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow from the Bristol Hippodrome but only for about 0.5 secs right at the end of the show!

Tonight's Casualty featured some really powerful scenes and Georgia's acting was brilliant in the scenes with Devlan. Tristan Gemmill (@TristanGemmill) has tweeted the sad news that Simon MacCorkindale, Casualty's Harry Harper, passed away last night.

The BBC spoilers are now out for the episode of Casualty showing on the 30th October, No Place Like Home (Ep. 9). There's also a special feature on actor Stephen Lord who is coming in to play Kirsty (Lucy Gaskell)'s  husband Warren.

Two of Georgia's former colleagues are appearing together on a Come Dine With Me Soap Star Special to be screened on Friday 22nd October. Brian Capron (Corrie's Richard Hillman) describes his experience of dining with James Redmond (Abs in Casualty) in an interview on the What's On TV website.

Stephen Billington and Georgia were interviewed about Stephen's Corrie character, Greg Kelly, five years ago for the Battersby Family Album. The Radio Times list (spoilers) is now out for the 23rd October episode of Casualty, Employee Of The Week. There are quite a few guest actors listed, both male and female, who could possibly be potential people to be in the store cupboard.

Not much Ruth in tonight's Casualty episode but there was a nice synchronised file handling scene with Tess. This episode was probably the lull before the storm as Georgia features heavily in forthcoming weeks.

Jenny Seagrove and Martin Shaw are on Daybreak next Wednesday (13th Oct) to talk about Mark Letheren's play, The Country Girl, which opened in the West End this week at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. The play runs until the 26th February, Georgia's birthday!, and tickets can be bought on the Apollo website.

Today's Guardian carries an interesting article about the progress of Cardiff's new Roath basin drama village. The article says that the first Casualty episode to be produced there will be in September 2011 and will be broadcast in January 2012.

Ruth once again features very heavily in this week's BBC Casualty spoilers for the episode showing on the 23rd October, Employee Of The Week (Episode 8). Its very confusing as its almost like last week's soap magazine Edward/Charlie/Ruth spoilers were about this episode rather than this Saturday's episode.

Today's Alloa Advertiser has a revealing interview with Steven Miller, who plays Casualty's Lenny Lyons, in which he talks about his NTA nomination.

There's still time to vote for Georgia in the Drama Performance category but only up until midnight on Monday 11th October.

No mention of Ruth or Edward in any of today's TV listings magazines from what I could see.

The holby.tv/news site has had a complete make over and looks really excellent.

Edward is back in the cast list for the 16th October episode of Casualty according to the Radio Times website (spoilers). Interestingly Charlie doesn't seem to be there.

Proof positive that cast lists have begun to lie as Georgia is in the BBC website preview clip for next week's episode of Casualty, Eliminate The Negative, despite not being in the cast list.

The actor Daniel Brocklebank (@Dan_Brocklebank) has tweeted that he's currently performing heart surgery on Casualty.

ITV has announced the details of the Corrie specials being broadcast in the run up to the 50th anniversary episode. These include a documentary featuring the "stories behind 50 iconic plots that helped define the contribution the ITV soap has made to British television". I would assume that Toyah's rape storyline would be one of those 50.

Ruth has a starring role in this week's BBC Casualty spoilers episode, Reasons Unknown, airing on 16th October. This is also the evening when Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow hits Bristol so we might see Georgia in the audience for that too!

Casualty has lost out to Waterloo Road for the Best Drama award at this year's Inside Soap Awards.

Twitter seems the place to go for the latest Casualty gossip. Lucy-Jo Hudson (@LucyJo_Hudson) has posted a picture of herself on the Xmas Casualty set and it appears that Lucian Laviscount (@LucianLaviscount), Ryan's friend Ben in Coronation Street, is filming Casualty this week.

Georgia isn't in the Radio Times cast list (spoilers) for the episode of Casualty showing on the 9th October, Eliminate The Positive. The episode stars the 2nd Juliet Bravo, Anna Carteret.

Another good episode with lots of Ruth. Also at the end of tonight's episode we found out that Ruth has kept her maiden name of Winters for her professional life and also heard Edward's surname pronounced as "Furlow" by Nick.

Coronation Street published its 50th anniversary cast photograph yesterday. 
The size of the cast certainly contrasts with the size of the Casualty cast photograph released this week for the 25th series.

Georgia's friend Joanne Froggatt is on the Lorraine show tomorrow morning to talk about her role in the new ITV1 Sunday night drama series, Downton Abbey.

Lucy-Jo Hudson, who played Katy Harris in Coronation Street, has tweeted that she starred in the Xmas Day Casualty special. Lucy Jo first appeared in Corrie in November 2002, near the end of Georgia's time there, and her character took over Toyah's job at Roy's Rolls when she left. Georgia also attended Lucy-Jo's Corrie leaving party in April 2005.

The TV magazines seem to be concentrating more on the Casualty star guest appearances than the regular cast these days so unfortunately there is very little about Ruth. Ruth is mentioned in both weeks of All About Soap's "the next 2 weeks!" and the Radio Times contains this cryptic spoiler, <- Ruth comes up with a plan to put the spark back in her marriage. ->
Ruth and Edward are, however, the feature photograph on the holby.tv homepage.

Many thanks to Katie, who met Georgia last Thursday, and who has cleared up the wedding ring debate. Georgia was still wearing the ring as Georgia and Katie were talking about how cheap it was! Typical BBC! Katie also said how lovely Georgia is.

At last some storyline action for Ruth and also some lovely comedy in the episode too with Ruth persecuting Noel's toys once again! Ruth's blue dress looked nice at the end of the episode too. Its been some time since we saw her out of scrubs.

The Casualty Fans Facebook page has some lovely new photographs of fans with the Casualty cast outside the Bristol studios including one with Georgia! Georgia seems to have lost the wedding ring she was wearing for the Xmas episode so perhaps her heavy filming was her breakup with Edward storyline?

Ruth features heavily once again in the new BBC Programme Information Casualty spoilers for the episode showing on 25th September, Only The Lonely.

Georgia's Life On Mars episode (Surburban Swingers, Series 2 Ep. 4), in which she plays perfume sales girl Denise Williams, is being repeated on the Bravo channel @2.00 a.m. on Sunday 19th September.

It appears that Ruth's marriage, although looking shaky in the spoilers, will last until the Christmas episode at least. Georgia seems to be still wearing the wedding ring in the photograph posted on twitpic by one of the fans who met Georgia last week during the filming of the Xmas episode.

The new poll asks which was the most dramatic out of the opening Casualty episodes Ruth has been involved in.

Ruth might not have changed her surname after getting married but her husband, Edward, seems to have. The credits on the BBC Casualty website (spoilers) for next week's episode and for the following week on the Radio Times website (spoilers) now have Stephen Billington's character listed as Edward Furlow whereas he's always previously been listed as Edward Thurlow.

According to fans who met Georgia outside the Bristol studios this week, and tweeted their experiences, she appeared to be doing a lot of filming so it could be a busy Xmas episode for Ruth.

The official BBC Casualty website now has the video preview for the first 12 episodes of the new series. Ruth appears to be very unhappy running away from a building in the rain (in a red night gown not dress? - possibly related to this week's spoiler?)

The Casualty Fans Facebook site has posted the new Series 25 Casualty cast photographs including the new one of Ruth.

Its September 1st, sunny and warm enough to melt artificial snow but Casualty were filming their Christmas episode today according to Tristan's tweets!

A Casualty tee shirt donated by Tristan Gemmill to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, signed by many cast members including Georgia, is up for auction on ebay.

Someone twittered that they spotted Georgia at Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow recording at the Bristol Hippodrome last Friday so its worth catching the new series which starts in the Autumn.

It was great to Georgia on Viva Blackpool again last night and if you missed it there's a chance, for the next week, to catch up on BBC IPlayer. Its a happy feel good storyline and Georgia looks gorgeous with long blonde hair.

Alan Bennett's The History Boys film gets its 3rd outing on television showing on Friday 10th September 23:50 to 01:40 on BBC2 and BBC HD.

For the first time since Ruth's wedding episode Georgia features in the BBC Programme Information Casualty spoilers out today for the 11th September episode, The Blame Game. Stephen Billington returns in his role as Edward Thurlow, Ruth's husband, meaning that Stephen must have filmed episodes either side of his March/April stint in theatre.

Sophia Di Martino (Polly in Casualty) can be seen starring in her role on Florizel Street in the BBC4 Autumn and Winter 2010 showreel released today. Sophia plays a character called Josie Scott who is the young assistant of casting director Margaret Morris (played by Jane Horrocks) in the one-off drama about the early days of Coronation Street. The drama was filmed this July.

The Royal Court Theatre where Georgia made her professional stage debut in The Woman Before featured heavily in last week's episode of Columbo, Dagger of the Mind, on ITV1. It hasn't changed much since 1972!

Vicky Entwistle,  Janice in Coronation Street, has given an in depth interview with today's News Of The World in which she says that her final Corrie dream before she leaves later this year is for the Battersbys to reunite for a final time.

It was a very quiet end of series episode for Ruth this time around but it was nice to see her and Kirsty becoming friendly at Adam's party at the very end. Here's to Series 25, a very big series for Ruth according to series producer Oliver Kent!

Martin Shaw, who is touring with Mark Letheren in The Country Girl, suffered a collapse on stage during the 1st act of the play at the opening night in Shrewsbury last night. Best wishes go out to Martin for a full and speedy recovery.

The one weekend break from Casualty is nicely filled by BBC4 re-showing Georgia's Viva Blackpool drama as part of an evening of programmes about the seaside resort to coincide with the Bank Holiday. Viva Blackpool can be seen on Sun 29th August between 21:00 and 22:30 (also between 01:10 and 02:40 on the 30th). 

This is the first repeat showing since its original airing on 10th June 2006.

The first BBC Programme Information spoilers for the new series of Casualty starting on 4th September are now out! The episode is called Entry Wounds and stars Michelle Collins, who is appearing on the Michael Ball Show on the preceding Tuesday 31st August.

The BBC Press Office has today released a new Press Pack detailing the exciting events occurring in the 1st, feature-length, episode of the new series of Casualty which starts on 4th September (a break of only one Saturday!). The Pack (spoilers) contains a synopsis of the 1st episode, interviews with Holby City crossover cast member Jaye Jacobs (nurse Donna Jackson), Tristan Gemmill and Steven Miller, and quotes from writer Mark Catley and series producer Oliver Kent.

Today was the final day of Casualty filming before the annual summer 2 week break according to Tristan Gemmill's twitter.

Toyah was given a mention in tonight's Corrie episode. Sally was explaining to the other factory girls about Janice being away visiting Toyah's house.

Spoiler-wise Series 24 of Casualty is now at an end with the BBC Programme Information spoilers for the final episode showing on the 21st August, What Tonight Means To Me - Part II. Apart from collapsing after a miscarriage brought on by taking an abortion pill, having her flat robbed by her junkie brother, being involved with the trial of a dodgy new drug, and getting married to an eminent surgeon, its been a relatively quiet series for Ruth.

Next year's National Television Awards are being held once again at the O2 Arena on Weds 26th January 2011 with voting opening in September. Registering with the NTA site allows you to buy tickets before they go on general release on Aug 6th.

Vicky Entwistle, the actress who plays Toyah's mum Janice Battersby in Coronation Street, has announced that she is leaving the show. Her departure will coincide the 50th anniversary of the show later this year. Janice was the first Battersby to arrive in the Street, appearing in her first episode in Jan 1997, six months before the rest of the Battersby family arrived, and has been an ever present ever since.

Georgia is listed in the Radio Times website cast list (spoilers) for the episode of Casualty showing on the 14th August. Called What Tonight Means To Me Part One, this episode is the first part of the two part series 24 finale. The episode also sees the return of a recently departed character whose photograph we saw during last night's episode.

The Casualty fans Facebook page has added some new photographs from people's visits to the set in Bristol this week. Georgia looks absolutely gorgeous with a new quite blonde hair look!

Blackpool is today's choice for the Guardian "Your Next Box Set" feature. Georgia filmed the 6 episodes of Blackpool back in the spring and summer of 2004 and the series was first shown in Nov/Dec of that year.

Ruth didn't feature in last Thursday's BBC Programme information spoilers for the episode of Casualty showing on the 7th August, Nice And Easy Does It, but Georgia is in the locate.tv cast list (spoilers).

Again not much Ruth in tonight's episode but Georgia was privileged to be in Brenda Fricker's first scene back in Casualty with Ruth being the first doctor to treat Megan as she arrived in the E.D. Two Casualty legends together!

With Corrie deciding upon a falling tram mass fatality storyline for its 50th anniversary, the new poll asks which regular Casualty cast member you'd most like to see under a tram if Casualty did a similar storyline for its 25th anniversary.

Casualty writer, Mark Catley, who was responsible for Georgia's Sex and Death flashback episode, has given a talk to a TV Writer's Festival. In the talk he describes the process of writing for Casualty and how the goal of Casualty writing now is to show a story rather than tell a story. He says of a 48 episode series that 6 episodes are great, 25 are good or very good but that there are a few turkeys.

There is no new BBC Programme information for Casualty this week because of the one week shift due to the World Cup. Therefore the information given for the 24th July episode is the same that was given last week for an episode entitled, Making Other Plans.

I recently came across these lovely photographs of Georgia out with her brother David at the opening of The Comedy Store in Manchester10 years ago. The family likeness is very strong! David appeared on Coronation Street several times as an extra back in 2003.

The new BBC Programme information spoilers are out for the episode of Casualty showing on the 17th July, Making Other Plans. Because of the football replacing this Saturday's Casualty, this episode will most likely be shown on 24th July.

Georgia's artwork, for the charity Action For Children, of her own personal journey from Coronation Street's Rovers Return to the Royal Court theatre has now been put up for online auction. You need to register with the website givinglots.co.uk in order to make a bid before the auction closes on the 29th July @ 12:00.

The Manchester Evening News website has announced the cast for the one off BBC4 drama celebrating the 50th anniversary of Coronation Street which started filming in Manchester yesterday. The cast includes Casualty's own Sophia Di Martino (Polly) although the article doesn't reveal which Corrie star she'll be playing - perhaps the actress who played Elsie Tanner's daughter, Linda, seen in this 1960 cast photo on corrie.net?

There is no Casualty this Saturday, 3rd July, due to BBC showing the World Cup Quarter Final between Paraguay and Spain/Portugal. Ruth and Edward can have another week on their honeymoon.

The official BBC Casualty website has released another set of episode titles and mini-spoilers covering episodes 42-46.

Yesterday's News Of the World reported that an insider has revealed that Coronation Street are planning another rape plot this time involving David and Tina. Georgia won many plaudits and several awards for her portrayal of Toyah's rape back in 2001.

The new poll asks whether Ruth's choice in wedding dress was better than her choice in groom.

It was quite surprising that Ruth decided to marry Edward but I can't see the marriage working out especially as, due to their height difference, the only time they can be together is on stairs. There were some nice other scenes with Ruth holding the baby and her scene with the drunk woman in the toilets.

Ruth appears in the BBC Casualty website preview video for next week's episode, Going Solo. The video contains a disturbing scene guidance warning.

The BBC website today has a new article about Casualty's move to Cardiff Bay next year. Construction work on the new Drama Village housing Dr Who, Casualty and Pobol y Cwm officially began today. The article suggests the first Casualty episode will be filmed in the autumn of 2011 and be shown in early 2012.

USA's late goal in the World Cup today means Ruth's wedding to Edward is still going ahead this Saturday.

Today's television magazines contain the first pictures of Ruth in her wedding dress (she's not attending her wedding in her pink top and blazer after all!). Its very stylish and not too over the top and Ruth looks amazing!

Georgia, credited as Ruth Winters, appears in the locate.tv cast list (spoilers) for the episode of Casualty showing on July 3rd, Going Solo.

Not much Ruth in tonight's Casualty but she did look lovely with her hair up. Ruth does feature in next week's preview video (spoilers) on the BBC Casualty website. Unless Ruth goes home to get changed it looks like her wedding outfit will be the pink top and navy jacket combination she wore in last week's episode.

The BBC Casualty website seems to have skipped a couple of episodes in its "Next Episode" page (spoilers) which gives details of a episode called "I am Mine" - possibly the 10th July episode. This episode has the return of Brenda Fricker as Megan Roach and also has Georgia credited as Ruth Winters!

The Whats On TV website now has its spoilers for the 26th June episode of Casualty, Die And Let Live.

Unfortunately this week's BBC Programme information spoilers for the episode of Casualty showing on 3rd July give nothing away about whether Ruth marries Edward or not. Therefore the poll has been reopened for a bit longer. 

The episode title, Going Solo, may be a clue and if Georgia does appear in the episode then Sunday's locate.tv cast list should reveal if she's credited as Ruth Winters or Ruth Thurlow.

Oliver Kent, the Casualty series producer, has done another of his periodic interviews with the Digital Spy website. This one contains lots on the end of Series 24 and into Series 25. Amongst other things he reveals that,

"In a few weeks' time, those who love Ruth are in for a bit of a treat." 

and on Ruth in Series 25;

"it'll be a very big series for her"!

Kerrie Hayes who played Ruby Moss, Georgia's character Phyllis Cook's best friend and fellow Olympic swimmer in the period drama Lilies, is appearing in Casualty in the 26th June episode. She plays a character called Poppy Wells.

The Casualty cast seem to have been camera shy again at last night's BAFTAs but I did manage to find a couple of photographs of Sunetra and Suzanne on the Red Carpet.

Georgia once again showed her versatility with some great comedic timing acting in tonight's Casualty. Ruth's dress was also very classy and stylish as well as showing her figure to perfection. Stephen Billington must be quite tall as he was stood two steps below Ruth on the spiral staircase in order to be at the same level! 

According to a tweet by Evelyn Hoskins (@EvelynHoskins) who plays Shona, Stephen's character, Edward, is in Casualty for a few episodes! 

The new BBC Programme Info spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on the 19th June, The Lesser Good. The episode appears to be unusual in that's its one hour long from 20:00 to 21:00. It also clashes with Cameroon v Denmark (kickoff 19:30).

The real mother of a baby Ruth holds in an up and coming Casualty episode has posted about her Casualty experiences on the holby.tv forum and describes Georgia as "really lovely". The episode, which features Corrie's Connie as the baby's grandmother, was filmed on 11th March a few days after Georgia's birthday party and therefore should be coming up about the end of June/early July.

There's no Casualty this weekend but there's a double dose of Casualty next weekend with the show nominated for the BAFTA Continuing Drama Award in Sunday's ceremony being shown on BBC1 from 20:00 to 22:00. This award has been won by outsiders, Casualty, Holby and The Bill for the past 3 years.

The What's On TV website has been updated with its spoilers for the 5th June episode of Casualty.

A new channel, BBC One HD, is launching this autumn according to a press release from the BBC today. The release also states that plans are underway for a Casualty move to HD.

Today is Toyah's 28th birthday! Hopefully she might get a mention from either Janice or Leanne in tonight's Coronation Street episodes.

The new BBC Programme Info spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on the 12th June, Inconvenient Truths. A late start of 9:20 p.m. should ensure that England's opening World Cup game against the USA (kickoff 7:30 p.m.) will be complete but it will be tight.

Ruth was back to her awesome best in tonight's Casualty and well done for the BBC for delaying the episode until precisely one minute after the Champions League final finished too!

Casualty seems to have fallen about 4 months behind real time and Stephen appeared in a play between 30th March and 24th April. Assuming a month's rehearsal that would make his last possible Casualty filming at the end of February which would make a final possible Casualty on screen appearance to be at the end of June.

Today's BBC Programme Info spoilers, for the 5th June episode of Casualty, In Your Debt, reveal that Ruth becomes smitten with a big name doctor called Edward. Edward is played Stephen Billington who formerly was Battersby family member Greg Kelly, Les Battersby's illegitimate son, back in 1998.

Well done to Jane Danson (Leanne in Corrie) who finished the Great Manchester 10km run in a respectable 1hr 14 mins raising money for the Christie Hospital in Manchester.

Lucy Gaskell's Angela and Friends interview has now been uploaded to the show's official website. Lucy talks about how Georgia and herself, although having not worked together before, were at the Royal Exchange in Manchester at the same time but in different plays.

Lucy Gaskell mentions in today's Sun TV Mag that she and Georgia have been told off for giggling on the Casualty set! Lucy also reveals that she sat next to Georgia in Maths and English lessons at school.

Luckily Georgia features heavily in the episode on the 22nd May with SoapLife magazine revealing this spoiler -(Ruth decides to go for it and become a surgeon.)- This is the episode in which Jon Lee from S Club 7 appears and he's given an interview with lastbroadcast.co.uk (thanks to gerogiatfan for link).

holby.tv has a new and revealing interview with Georgia's friend Lucy.

It was five years ago today that Georgia made her professional stage debut in The Woman Before at the prestigious Royal Court Theatre in London. Georgia can be seen in this never seen before photograph arriving for the first preview performance.

Georgia's Justin Canning photoshoot, which has previously only been available in low quality, has today been posted in High Quality on several web forums. The photographs are amazing in small size but when you see them in High Definition you can really appreciate how stunningly beautiful Georgia is. Prepare to taken aback and blown away at this (safe) link!

Today's magazines feature quite a few interviews with Georgia's friend Lucy Gaskell who plays new mental health nurse, Kirsty Clements in Casualty. Lucy makes some nice references to Georgia including;

Tonight saw Blanche, played by the wonderful Maggie Jones, laid to rest in Corrie. Although Georgia didn't have that many scenes with Maggie, I did manage to dig up a lovely one of a typically impatient Blanche being served by Toyah in the Cafe (right click and "Save As" on picture).

Casualty has once again been nominated for the Best Continuing Drama Award at the BAFTA Television Awards. Last year it was up against Eastenders, The Bill and Emmerdale with The Bill winning the award whereas this year its Eastenders, The Bill and Coronation Street.

After one year at the Royal Festival Hall, the ceremony returns to The London Palladium on Sunday June 6th and is once again hosted by Graham Norton. Unfortunately, unlike at the Royal Festival Hall, public tickets don't seem to be available.

Northern Irish actress, Jayne Wisener is going to be playing a character called Simone in 5 episodes of the new series of Casualty according to this article from the Coleraine Times and her agent's page.

Tonight sees the staging of the 12th British Soap Awards (Georgia attended the first five) at the BBC Television Centre. Jane Danson arrived with Simon Bain who plays Simon Barlow. Jane will be hoping that Corrie wins "Best Single Episode" and "Best Storyline", when she was brilliant in dealing with Peter's alcoholism, and Robert Beck wins "Villain of the Year".

The official BBC Casualty website has just posted a new two minute video (spoilers) of dramatic events occurring in the final 14 episodes of this series. Thanks to georgiatfan for this exciting piece of news!

Everyone seems to be leaving Casualty at the moment. Today came news of a 2nd departure in successive weeks. Laura Aikman(May)'s last episode is this Saturday according to an interview (spoilers) with What's On TV online.

In a previous interview with Inside Soap, Laura revealed that "Georgia and I get on really well" and "luckily, in real life we're not at all like our characters!"

Ruth stars again in the new BBC Programme Info spoilers out today for the episode of Casualty showing on the 22nd May, Mum's The Word.

Best of luck to Georgia's friend and one time colleague Sally Whittaker (Sally Webster in Corrie), who this week revealed that she's battled cancer in real life.

It was good to see Ruth back again in tonight's Casualty. Georgia definitely looked to have lighter hair than before and it seemed to match a more lighter side to Ruth's personality that came out in the episode.

Ruth features in the new BBC Programme Info spoilers for the episode of Casualty showing on the 15th May, Russian Endings. There's also a new interview (also on lastbroadcast.co.uk) with Lucy Gaskell who arrives as new nurse Kirsty Clements during this episode.

The official BBC Casualty website has added some new mini spoilers for episodes 37-41 (the dates are still incorrect by one week due to the episode lost to Rugby) and there's also a feature on soon to be joining new nurse, Kirsty Clements, played by Georgia's friend Lucy Gaskell.

It has been officially announced that this Saturday's episode of Casualty, New Beginnings, will sadly be the last for Sam Grey who plays Alice Chantrey. The news appeared today on the holby.tv news section.

Its a year ago this Sunday since Georgia attended the BAFTA Television Awards at the Royal Festival Hall on a glorious late April day. The youtube video of Georgia and other Casualty cast signing autographs outside the Hall shows how sunny is was.

After last night's disappointment there's good news as Georgia is definitely in next week's Casualty because Ruth features in the preview clip on the BBC website! Georgia also makes the locate.tv cast list (spoilers) for the 8th May as does a surprise returnee!

History was made in tonight's Casualty as it was the very first episode in which Georgia appeared in the credits but didn't appear in the episode. Something very strange is happening with the credits at the moment as, in last week's episode, the same happened to Sam Grey with Sunetra Sarker appearing whilst not credited.

This is the episode before the one in which Lucy Gaskell makes her debut as mental heath nurse, Kirsty Clements, and it sounds like she'll have her work cut out treating the staff never mind the patients.

Filming on series 25 filming began today and according to a Tristan Gemmill tweet the collective cast photograph for the new series was also taken.

David Roden, the script editor on Casualty, has produced a fascinating tour of the set film for the website exposureroom.com. During the tour he reveals several filming secrets such as the lift doors don't actually work and are pushed closed by hand with accompanying sound affects. Sunetra Sarker (Zoe) also makes an appearance.

Casualty production staff are organising a lunchtime protest outside the BBC Production Studios in Bristol this Wednesday 14th April. The protest is over BBC executive plans to dismiss Props Department workers weeks before they are due to complete a full year in their posts and hence obtaining increased employment rights.

A reminder that the Watch channel is showing Georgia's dedicated flashback episode, Sex And Death, tomorrow between 8-9 a.m. and 11-12 a.m. The episode was first shown on 9th February 2008.

No Ruth last night but she does star in the BBC Casualty website preview clip for next week's episode, Clean Slate.

It was great to see Georgia in some very moving scenes with the legendary Stephanie Beacham last night. Ruth operated on Monica wearing her Invisible Woman from The Fantastic Four scarf that Dr Doom gave her inside an Xmas cracker.

Big Tank, the production company behind Georgia's Soul Shutter short, have recently revamped their website that now includes some more production stills. Georgia proves, in a previously unseen photograph, that acting isn't always hard work!

In tonight's Casualty Stephanie Beecham's character, Monica, offers Ruth some advice about the opposite sex according to this article (spoilers) from today's Daily Express website.

From today ITV have started broadcasting many of their shows in High Definition on a new 24 hour channel. Its long overdue since Georgia did any interviews with This Morning, Loose Woman or GMTV so hopefully (fingers crossed), she might do one soon in HD! Georgia did appear in HD on the Paul O'Grady Show in 2008 and Lilies, The History Boys and The Bank Job were all filmed in HD.

The BBC Casualty website has had the audacity to cut off Georgia's head from the publicity photograph for this Saturday's episode in order to centre on Stephanie Beacham. I think complaints should be made to the BBC.

An exuberant video made by the cast and crew of Blackpool for the end of filming wrap party has come to light on youtube. In the video Georgia does a great Tubbs from The League of Gentleman impression with Steve Pemberton, the original Tubbs, to the music of Queen's Don't Stop Me Now!

Today's Guardian online has a nice review of  last Saturday's episode of Casualty taken from an occasional viewer's perspective.

Not much of Ruth in tonight's Casualty and the outdoor scene looked very cold for Georgia to film! Georgia has top billing for next week's episode though and is featured in the preview picture along with Stephanie Beacham from Celebrity Big Brother. Stephanie must have filmed the episode just before entering the CBB house in January.

Rex Features have added some photographs of Georgia and Bruce Jones meeting Matthew Corbett and Sooty and Sweep during their appearance on Sooty + Co back in 1998. Video of their appearance can still be seen on youtube here.

Eagle eyed viewers may have spotted something familiar about the female witness to Gail's argument with Joe whom David sought out in tonight's Corrie. The witness, Jane Kenworthy, was played by Annie Fitzmaurice who had some emotional Corrie scenes with Georgia playing D.S. Groves, the investigating officer into Toyah's rape.

Vicky Entwistle is the subject of this week's Inside Soap feature, At Your Mercy, and one of the questions she answers is "Are you still in touch with Bruce Jones and Georgia Taylor?":-

I haven't seen Georgia for awhile, but I've spoken to Bruce a few times recently. If rumours in the press about a possible wedding for Peter and Leanne are to be believed, I'd love Bruce to come back so Les can give her away. Georgia's doing well in Casualty, so I'm not sure she'd be able to commit to Corrie long-term. But it would be great for the Battersbys to be reunited for at least one episode.

Someone has posted photographs on a web forum of the construction work in progress on the new BBC Drama Centre at Cardiff's Roath Basin. According to Tristan Gemmill's twitter page, Casualty's move to Cardiff is due to occur seamlessly between Series 25 and 26 which should be around May 2011.

Georgia heads the cast for the episode of Casualty showing on the 3rd April, Love Of A Good Man n the BBC Programme Info spoilers. This is the episode that Stephanie Beacham guests and she is involved in Ruth's storyline that is described in a special Casualty feature.

The BBC confirmed today that Georgia's ex school pal, Lucy Gaskell, has joined Casualty playing nurse Kirsty Clements. Lucy has already appeared in scenes with Georgia and their Casualty characters don't get on with each other according to Lucy's interview on today's BBC Press site.

The Sport Relief Mile events are taking place this Sunday across the country, including in Bristol. Georgia, along with Sam Grey (Alice in Casualty) ran the mile the last time it was staged back in 2008 and were interviewed on BBC1's Sport Relief Mile Show and BBC local news. This year's event is also being televised, showing on BBC1 on Sunday between 16:05 and 17:35.

No sign (so far) of Georgia or any Casualty people in the photo agency arrivals pictures for tonight's RTS Awards. There are several Corrie stars shown attending including Jane Danson who looks stunning in a full length turquoise dress. Update: 17/03 - Casualty loses out to Eastenders.

Casualty is competing, against Eastenders and The Bill, for best "Soap and Continuing Drama" at the Royal Television Society Awards this Tuesday (16th March). Tickets can be bought for the dinner event, being hosted by Rob Brydon, at the Grosvenor House Hotel London, but they cost £169 + VAT!

The Bolton Octagon blog now has numerous production and behind the scenes photographs from And Did Those Feet which opened last night. Mark Letheren stars alongside Naomi Radcliffe who played Kevin Webster's partner, Alison, in Coronation Street. Ruth features in the BBC Programme Info spoilers for the episode of Casualty showing on the 27th March, Boys Don't Cry. Another ex-Corrie colleague of Georgia's is involved in the episode, Gabrielle Glaister, who played Natalie's sister, Debs.

Georgia didn't appear on tonight's Blue Peter as Joel, the BP presenter acted out a scene with Jay, Charlie and Tess. There were also pieces with the paramedics Jeff, Dixie and Polly as well as director interviews. The episode is on iplayer here and there's also additional scenes on the BBC Blue Peter website.

Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) has done a long interview with today's Daily Record newspaper in which she talks about filming scenes in Blackpool in freezing January. Jane was following in Georgia's footsteps as she also filmed in Blackpool in January for Viva Blackpool 4 years ago.

With FA Cup fever sweeping the country this weekend (and Bolton beating West Ham) there's a nice photograph of the cast of Mark Letheren's new play on the Bolton Octagon blog. Mark has his hand on a replica of the 1923 FA Cup that will be used during the play, And Did Those Feet, which opens this Thursday, 11th March.

Having been away for a week I've produced a summary of this week's news;

• There is no Casualty episode being show on Saturday 20th March due to the finale of the Rugby Six Nations tournament. This should have been the night episode, Boys Don't Cry (spoilers), was shown.

The Casualty Fans Facebook group has added another lovely, behind the scenes, photograph of Georgia, this time with Sam Grey (Alice). I think Georgia's long, curly hair dates the photograph to the beginning of Series 23 (Sept 08) - when Nick Jordan said "I like your hair by the way".

The new poll concerns the identify of Jay's Valentine card admirer.

Leanne and Peter's wedding might be the centrepiece of Corrie's 50th anniversary celebrations at the end of this year. This would give great potential for a guest appearance return for Toyah. Georgia starred in the special live episode back in December 2000 for the 40th anniversary.

It was nice to see Scott Wright, Toyah's long term boyfriend Sam in Corrie, be involved in Georgia's storyline tonight. Sam left Corrie back in 2002 with a broken arm and 8 years later he's having a boil lanced by Dr Winters!

I have a suspicion that Georgia is having her birthday party this evening. Georgia's fellow Wigan Willpower Youth Theatre and Corrie actor, Philip McGinley (Liam's cousin Tom in Corrie), has tweeted today about attending a party tonight where there'll be lots of actresses!

Another quiet episode for Georgia but at least Ruth had several small scenes. Although they didn't have any real dialogue together it was strange to see Georgia in scenes with Jack Deam, who played Phil Simmonds in Coronation Street.

According to a thread on holby.tv Georgia, and other Casualty stars, appeared in this evening's Eastenders Live: the Aftermath. This show is repeated tonight on BBC3 between 23:00 and 00:00.

There's a double dose of Casualty tomorrow night as actors Charles Dale (Big Mac), Tony Marshall (Noel) and Ben Turner (Jay) all appear in the first installment of Let's Dance for Sport Relief on BBC1 from 18:30 to 19:45.

Yesterday's Wales Online reported that homeowners living at Cardiff's Roath Basin are unhappy about the neon light pollution, reduced parking and increased congestion the new BBC studios will cause.

Casualty costs 250k an hour to produce according to an article in today's Guardian.

Daphne Alexander who played nurse Nadia Talianos in Casualty back in 2007 appears in the new Roman Polanski film, The Ghost Writer. The  film, about a ghost writer (Ewan McGregor) for a British PM (Pierce Brosnan), premiered last week at the Berlin Film Festival.

Ruth's storyline involves working with a new mentor, Howard Fairfax, played by Michael Maloney. This episode is also the one featuring Scott Wright, who played Sam the Stripper in Corrie.

There are strong rumours that Georgia's fellow Wiganer, Lucy Gaskell, is the new Casualty regular mentioned in Tristan Gemmill's recent tweets. Georgia attended Lucy's wedding in 2008 and Lucy has also filmed the current series of Being Human in Georgia's vicinity of Bristol.

The Dorset Echo ran an interesting article about the young actress who played the disfigured girl Sally, whose father Ruth treated in tonight's Casualty.

Jane Danson gave a fabulous performance as Leanne in tonight's Coronation Street and today, Fairfield General Hospital have thanked Jane for her generous donation of 250k from her Soapstar Superstar performance that helped refurbish a kitchen and baby rooms.

Mark Letheren (Ben in Casualty) is appearing in 2 new back-to-back plays at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, "And Did Those Feet" (11th March - 10th April) and "The Comedians" (15th April - 8th May).

Celebrity Big Brother finalist, Stephanie Beacham, filmed an episode of Casualty before entering the house that is due to be screened next month according to yesterday's Daily Mirror online.

There are some new faces and the return of a familiar counsellor (?) revealed in the BBC Programme Info spoilers for the episode of Casualty showing on the 20th February, Past Lives.

The official BBC Casualty website has also added a new set of episode titles and mini-spoilers up until Episode 36 (1st May).

Bruce Jones and Scott Wright, who played Toyah's dad Les and boyfriend Sam are reunited in a new sitcom called That Band. Details are on today's Sun online. Scott will also be appearing in Casualty on the 27th February and he has his own twitter page.

The Casualty cast where seated immediately behind the BB people as they were last time and were having chats with self proclaimed Casualty fan, Davina. 

Ben Turner must have a way with woman as he was seated between Sunetra and Sophia and when, they both went out for a comfort break, two other attractive women came and sat beside him. Not sure what was going on there?

The O2 isn't as intimate as the Royal Albert Hall and there seemed more emphasis on extracting cash from the public such as charging £5 for an 8 page programme rather than it being free. The O2 is also very cold in winter!

Unfortunately Georgia wasn't one of the Casualty representatives at tonight's National Television Awards held at the O2 Arena. The Casualty crew consisted of Gillian, Tristan, Sunetra, Ben and Sophia. I'll add some photographs soon if any turn out!

Casualty will start production in the summer of 2011 at BBC's new Cardiff Bay drama village according to a Press Association release today. Construction on the new village will begin in the 'coming months'.

I recently came across this very early photograph (circa June 1997) of the fledgling Battersbys - Georgia, Jane and Vicky, taken outside what appears to be Granada Studios. They all look amazingly young and Georgia and Jane are both wearing some interesting footwear!

Very little of Ruth in tonight's Casualty and what there was in black and white! Another former Corrie colleague of Georgia's made an appearance as the social worker in Jessica's flashback - Rebecca Sarker who played Vik's sister, Nita Desai.

Ruth does appear in BBC Casualty website video preview for next week's episode, Last Roll Of The Dice, and there's also this curious spoiler for that episode on DigiGuide, < Ruth and Jeff come to blows > !

According to an article in today's Guardian Ben Stephenson, the controller of BBC drama commissioning is poised to cull several of BBC's long running dramas but that Casualty, Holby City, Waterloo Road and New Tricks are all thought to be safe.

Yesterday's Guardian had an interesting article by journalist Jonathan Wright entitled "My house is on the telly" about how the BBC3 supernatural series, Being Human is filmed in his (and Georgia's) area of Bristol, Totterdown.

According to Tristan's Twitter page he will be appearing as a guest on next weekend's Saturday Kitchen and he's asking for ideas for food hell/heaven.

The site has finally gone round the clock and reached 100,000 hits today! It took nearly 10 years but it got there in the end! Thanks to all who have visited in that time!

If you're a fan of Ruth's on/off relationship with nurse Jay Faldren then Charlotte, a moderator on the Ruth and Jay Online site,  recommends their newly revamped forum with has many active members discussing all things Ruth and Jay related and has tonnes of graphics, videos and stories available to members.

The Guardian is reporting that the outdoor set of Coronation Street is to be demolished with the new ITV chairman pressing ahead with a planned move of the show from Quay Street to Salford Quays.

Gillian Kearney has revealed in today's Sunday People newspaper that next month will see her final on screen appearance as nurse Jessica Harrison in Casualty. Gillian joined Casualty a few months after Georgia, making her first screen appearance in January 2008. In the People article Gillian mentions that she'll miss Sunetra (Zoe) and Georgia. In a previous article Georgia revealed that Gillian was part of a Northern Collective of Casualty actresses that all socialised together. 

It seems twitter has finally reached Casualty with Tristan Gemmill (Dr. Adam Trueman) now providing some regular tweets on his twitter page. Casualty series producer, Oliver Kent, also has a twitter page.

Georgia is in the locate.tv full cast list (spoilers) for the 16th January episode of Casualty, Leave me Alone. This is the Jessica flashback episode that also features Ruth's nemesis, Sarah Evans.

The voting short lists are now out for the upcoming National Television Awards and there's some good and bad news. Casualty has made the short list for Best Drama but Georgia failed to make the short list for Best Drama Performance.

The event takes place on Wednesday 20th January @17:30 at the O2 Arena and there are still tickets available from ticketmaster. Votes for those short listed can be made online up until noon on the 20th January.

Athlete Colin Jackson's family are appearing in tonight's All Star Family Fortunes on ITV1 @ 19:15. Colin is Suzanne Packer (Tess in Casualty)'s brother so hopefully we might see Suzanne! Not quite as challenging as Tristan's Mastermind!

Ruth looked amazing again in last tonight's Casualty in her wedding outfit and with the frizzy hairdo. It was nice to see her and Jay getting along for awhile at least and very funny to see Ruth attempt to avoid Jessica's bouquet. It was a very sad ending to the episode which brought back the sadness of Ruth's suicide attempt as the same piece of music was played, Spiegel im Spiegel by Arvo Part.

Many thanks to all who voted for their favourite Georgia photo shoot. All the shoots were gorgeous but the overall winner with 46% of the votes was the patterned dress and black tights in the Casualty setting. The full result can be seen here.

The BBC News website has an exclusive behind the scenes look at this Saturday's dramatic wedding episode, filmed at Pinewood Studios, including interviews with Gillian Kearney, Tristan Gemmill and Oliver Kent. The youth theatre Georgia attended in Wigan, the Willpower Youth Theatre, Facebook page has a collection of photographs from previous productions. This photograph looks like it could be Georgia performing in their 1997 production of Arabian Nights? Georgia played the Sultan's wife two months before her Coronation Street debut.

Toyah's former boyfriend, Sam Kingston (The Masked Python) is making an appearance on Casualty in an episode airing on 27th February 2010 according to Scott Wright's official website. Scott played garage mechanic and part-time stripper Sam in Corrie from 2000-2002.

The official BBC Casualty website has major spoilers (some involving Ruth) for the episode showing on January 2nd 2010, A Day In The Life. This episode now appears to be a feature length episode, 110 minutes long, containing both Parts I and Part II. Part II was originally scheduled to be shown on Sunday January 3rd.

According to DigiGuide, the Christmas episode of Casualty, Tidings Of Comfort And Joy, is showing on Sunday 27th December, 20:00 to 21:00. DigiGuide also has Tristan Gemmill (Adam)'s appearance on Celebrity Mastermind on New Year's Day, 20:30 to 21:00.

Some great scenes in tonight's Casualty involving Ruth's brother who seems not too bad after all. I also loved security guard Mick's (played by Thomas Morrison, Shyanne's brother in Blackpool) timid approach to meeting Ruth in person. It was also lovely to see Ruth jogging again for the first time since Series 22!

According to today's Wales Online a planning application has been made for a building housing studios and offices at Cardiff Bay’s Roath Basin.

According to the Sky EPG, Sunetra Sarker (Zoe) and Tristan Gemmill (Adam) are both appearing on this Thursday's (3rd December) Paul O'Grady Show.

Georgia is in the cast  list for the Casualty episode showing on 12 December, No More Heroes, according to locate.tv (spoilers). This is significant as, according to imdb records that tally with my own records, it is Georgia's 100th episode! Not bad considering Georgia was originally only contracted for six months!

Mark Letheren (Ben the counsellor) is returning to Casualty for an early 2010 appearance having recently filmed another episode according to his official website News page.

It turns out that arguably the 3rd most important woman in world politics, behind only Hilary Clinton and Angela Merkel, studied at the same college as Georgia. Baroness Cathy Ashton, Europe's first High Representative For Foreign Affairs, attended Up Holland Grammar school which was renamed as Winstanley College in 1977.

To mark his 75th year, the BBC is hosting a special Alan Bennett week that starts with a showing of his excellent film, The History Boys, on BBC2 on Friday 4th December @ 23:35.

The Pudsey Bear bandana signed by Casualty cast members raised an astounding £414 for Children In Need when the ebay auction ended earlier this evening.

Ruth wasn't in teddy resus last night to help save Pudsey Bear and friends for BBC Children in Need. The sketch, starring Adam, Tess, Big Mac, Noel, Jay, Pudsey and two other bears, can be seen online here.

The holby.tv awards for 2009 were announced today. Ruth was voted as "Favourite Female of Series 23" and Georgia was also chosen for the "The Best Ever Acting Performance" for the attempted suicide storyline. Ruth and Jay were also voted as the "Favourite Couple of Series 23" and their romance "Favourite Series 23 Storyline" . The full set of results can be seen on the holby.tv forums.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the previous poll, "Who will Ruth make a shocking discovery about?". Brian Park, the former Coronation Street producer who first introduced the Battersby family to Corrie has been taken ill in Italy with a suspected brain aneurysm according to an article on today's Digital Spy website.

Almost to the year since they were first shown, the cable channel Watch are repeating the Series 23 Casualty episodes containing Ruth's night of passion with Jordan and its aftermath. Your Own Personal Jesus and Reality Bites can be seen on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th, at 07:00 or 11.00.

The BBC spoilers for the episode of Casualty to be shown on 12th December, No More More Heroes, are now out.

The new Cardiff filming location for Casualty might be on the site of Freeman's Cigar factory according to a report on the Wales Online website yesterday. The BBC are in talks to base its new Drama Village at the site which would also host Doctor Who, Torchwood and Merlin from 2011.

This week's Inside Soap magazine has a couple of interesting pieces of Casualty information. Laura Aitkmen who plays Dr May Phelps is interviewed and she reveals this spoiler (- May and Ruth are destined to become enemies -) regarding Ruth.

There is also a piece about next Friday's Children In Need that reveals the Casualty segment is happening between 19:30 and 20:00 when "An important person checks into Holby General, which causes a fuss with the cast of Casualty".

Today is Ruth's birthday according to the date printed on the Surgeon's Dinner invitation which falls on the same day.

Congratulations to the scriptwriters for being consistent. Two years ago Ruth received a birthday card from her father, albeit bought last minute from a hospital charity card seller, in the Series 22 episode, Inappropriate Behavior, shown on October 13th 2007.

The official BBC Casualty website has gone overboard today by giving the episode titles and short spoilers for every single Casualty episode up until Boxing Boy. It even gives some storyline hints for the New Year. If you want to look they can be found here.

Georgia did appear in the same frame as her one time namesake, Toyah, in last night's Casualty although they didn't have any dialogue together.

Ruth looked amazing in her silk blouse and pencil skirt combination which must have set many a patient's heart racing and Ruth can be seen out of scrubs again in next week's video preview (spoilers) on the BBC website.

Actress Tracy Shaw is appearing on This Morning on Friday 23th October to discuss her role in Casualty.

The BBC spoilers for the episode of Casualty to be shown on 24 October, "Not Wisely, But Too Well", are now out. Georgia again heads the cast list in an episode that also features Tracy Shaw, who starred with Georgia for several years as Maxine in Corrie. There's a new interview with Tracy on the What's on TV website (spoilers).

The episode originally to be shown on 17th October has been put back to Sunday 18th October due to Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying. The Guardian online has full details.

Georgia's dedicated flashback Casualty episode, Sex and Death, is repeated tomorrow (6th October, 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.) on the Watch channel . The episode recounts events leading up to Ruth's suicide attempt including her time in Histology with Dr Doom.

Who could fail to love Georgia after last tonight's Casualty! Warm, kind and human! There was some great comedy acting in the rehearsed scene with the traffic warden, Amir.

DigiGuide has this spoiler (Ruth's worst fears are proved when she discovers she is pregnant. Sarah offers advice: trying to make it as a female surgeon leaves no room for error.) for the Comfort Zone episode of Casualty showing on 10th October.

The BBC spoilers for the episode of Casualty to be shown on 17 October, Love Is A Sacrifice, are now out. For the 3rd week running Georgia is at the top of the cast list!

Georgia wasn't part of the Casualty cast that attended last night's Inside Soap Awards bash in London. Abdul Salis (Curtis), Tony Marshall (Noel), Sam Grey (Alice), Sophia Di Martino (Polly), Sunetra Sarker (Zoe), Suzanne Packer (Tess) and Charles Dale (Big Mac) all attended.

Having lost to The Bill for Best Continuing Drama at this year's BAFTAs, Casualty again lost out to them for tonight's Inside Soap Award for Best Drama.

Even though last night's Casualty scene involving Ruth was a flashback to Episode 2 there were a couple of seconds shot from a different angle through the Resus door. As such I've done some new captures!

The What's on TV website now has its spoilers for the 3rd October episode of Casualty, Not Forgotten.

The BBC spoilers for the episode of Casualty to be shown on 10 October, Comfort Zone, are now out. Its another big week for Ruth with Georgia headlining the cast list.
 
Bizarrely Georgia appears in scenes with Toyah Willcox whom Toyah on Corrie was named after. In a interview from 2007 Georgia replied to a question if she'd ever met her famous namesake with "No! Do you think she even knows who I am?" I'm sure the two of them must have had a conversation about their connection during filming!

Casualty has been short listed for the Inside Soap Award for Best Drama alongside The Bill, Holby City and Doctors. The awards take place next Monday (28th September) at the Sketch night club in London's West End.

The cable channel Watch is currently repeating Series 22 of Casualty (Ruth's first series) at 7.a.m, one episode each weekday. They've already shown the first 13 episodes with Episode 14, Inheritance, on tomorrow morning.

The Radio Times magazine cast list for this Saturday's Casualty confirms that Georgia isn't appearing :(.

Ruth's scrubs seem to have turned a bluey green for this series perhaps to distinguish her from the more junior doctors. Georgia was also photographed by Casualty fans in July wearing said scrubs and back to black hair on a new Casualty Facebook page.

Congratulations to Georgia for making the long nomination list in the NTAs Drama Performance category. Georgia is up against fellow Casualty star Micheal French (Nick Jordan) in this category. Ben Turner (Jay) is nominated for Best Newcomer, the category in which Georgia made the final four at last year's awards, and Casualty is also nominated for Best Drama. On the subject of awards, tonight sees the TV Quick/TV Choice Awards at the Dorchester Hotel. Although Casualty is not up for an award hopefully it'll have a presence like last year when Georgia and Sunetra (Zoe) presented an award.

Only a week to wait until the new series of Casualty starts. The trailer for the opening episode was shown last night after the National Lottery. Ruth looks amazing! Not sure if her hair is slightly lighter or if its just an illusion?

Jane Danson lists Georgia as her "Ultimate TV mate" in today's Daily Mirror We Love Telly magazine. Jane returns to Corrie next week after a maternity break for her 2nd child, Alfie, born the day after Georgia's birthday in February.

Ruth is mentioned in the BBC spoilers for the Casualty episode to be shown on the 19th September, And Then There Were Three. Its a bit of a shocker regarding one of the new F2s!

In the BBC Casualty preview video, a character wearing a burgundy evening dress can be seen lying motionless on the floor. 
This appears to be Ruth and the pattern of the floor on which the character lies confirms the location to be Leigh Court (above, right). Georgia filmed at Leigh Court on 20th June so, with the 3 month transmission delay, the episode should be coming up sometime very early in the series. Hopefully its nothing too serious for Ruth.

The very first BBC Programme Information Casualty spoilers are now out for Series 24! There are two separate spoilers for the opening, double header episodes, showing on Sat 12th and Sun 13th of September.

The official BBC Casualty website now has a 2 minute video preview of the explosive series opener (and other early episodes?). Ruth can be seen in civvies with stethoscope. Perhaps now that she's more senior she'll be allowed out of scrubs at work like Zoe.

The Land of Whimsy blog has produced its appraisal of Series 23 of Casualty. Even if some of its points are controversial it still makes for a good read. The appraisal for Series 22 is also still available.

Actress Evelyn Hoskins looks set to star as a new semi-regular in Series 24 of Casualty. According to her Spotlight page she has filmed 7 episodes as a character called Shona.

Today's Sun newspaper online is reporting that Georgia Moffett is joining Casualty as one of the new junior doctors. That will be confusing!! The Sun also report the arrival of Laura Aikman, Steve Miller and Will Sharpe.

As it has been announced that there are four new junior doctors arriving in Series 24 of Casualty, could Laura Aikman be playing one of them? According to her agent's website she started filming as a new regular character this May.

Another series of Casualty is over. It doesn't seem like five minutes since Charlie's car sharing scheme of the 1st episode and its amazing to think that Georgia has now completed two full seasons.

Before Casualty and Ruth return in September the site will be reliving the Toyah and Spider romance from the eclipse summer of 1999.

This week's TV Guide magazine contains this (Ruth and Jay continue to grow closer: has she finally found someone she can trust, or will their happiness be short-lived?) spoiler for the next series of Casualty.

An article published today on the broadcastnow.co.uk website mentions that the Roath Basin area of Cardiff is the BBC's preferred option for the new Casualty studios when the show moves to Cardiff in 2011.

It was good to see Ruth go out to the scene of an accident in yesterday's Casualty. The scenes were filmed around the time of the BAFTA awards as can be seen by Ruth's hairstyle!

Ruth's character page on the official BBC Casualty website has recently been updated with some interesting new background information about her family and childhood.

What's on TV have a major Ruth and Jay spoiler for the first part of the Casualty series finale, No Fjords in Finland, on 25th July.

For the first time on television since Christmas 2007, BBC HD are showing Alan Bennett's The History Boys. This can be seen on Friday 31st July between 22:30 - 01:05.

Sky Movies Action/Thriller are also showing The Bank Job again this Saturday, 18th July, between 15:05 - 16:53 and 21:00 - 21:48.

It appears that one of the new junior Casualty doctors, following in Ruth and Toby's footsteps, might be Dr Eve Chester played by Kate Edney. Kate's agent's website credits her with multiple Season 24 episodes. Kate is also due to appear in panto in Falmouth this year so perhaps she'll have a break around Xmas?

Georgia is in the locate.tv cast list (spoilers) for the 25th July episode of Casualty, No Fjords in Finland. This is Part I of the 2 part series finale so its safe to say that Georgia will be present to the end of the series in which Ruth has only failed to feature in 4 out of the 48 episodes!

Georgia's play, Christmas Is Miles Away, has recently completed a run in New York and its writer, Chloë Moss talks about her play in an interesting podcast @ broadwaybullet.com. The play's script is also now available on google books.

The charity, Action For Children, has illustrated the difficult journeys vulnerable children have to make by asking celebrities to outline their own personal journeys. Georgia has produced a heartfelt artwork and a moving account of how she made the journey from the Rovers Return to the Royal Court. Georgia's journey can be seen on the Action For Children website.

Soaplife magazine has a small spoiler (Ruth distances herself from Jay) for the 18th July episode of Casualty, Great Expectations. There is also a local newspaper story (spoilers) about a teenager, Jack Millar (Luke), who appears in the episode and it sounds like he might be involved in the same storyline as Ruth.

A very passionate and steamy ending to tonight's Casualty! It was quite clever how the episode started and ended with a lift scene as well. Great acting by Georgia and some serious smooching not seen since the Dominic Cooper snog in the History Boys! Still not keen on Jay though.

It appears that the Surgeons' Dinners are to continue into the next series of Casualty. An actor has posted on their twitter feed about the scene he filmed, wearing a DJ, with Georgia today at Leigh Court in Bristol. According to the official BBC Casualty website (spoilers), episodes 5 and 6 are currently being filmed.

Sky Movies Action/Thriller are showing Georgia's The Bank Job movie tomorrow @ 12.05 and @ 21.00.

This is a fab dress - not an overly red carpet look admittedly for Casualty's Georgia Taylor, but this is practically the only pattern in sight all evening. The Guardian

The Sun has a quote from Georgia on her hairstyle.

Georgia Taylor was keen for our Mark Hill Creative Stylist to create a ‘just got out of bed’ look to her bob. The Casualty actress's hair was loosely backcombed. Georgia said she usually “has a nightmare getting the bits at the back”, so was grateful for the help of her stylist, who finished her look with Mark Hill De-Frizz Texturizing Polish.

Just back from the BAFTAs. It was a lovely warm, spring day and a lovely surprise seeing Georgia there too not knowing which Casualty people would be attending! Georgia wore an adventurous polka dot top half and summery dress bottom half combination.

I managed to see the Casualty cast (Georgia, Gillian, Tristan and Sunetra) walk the red carpet from the balcony of the 4th floor bar so the view of the celebs was very much cleavage and bald patches! I also saw Georgia and Sunetra leave the auditorium at the end of the ceremony.

As luck would have it I was in the toilets when the Best Continuing Drama was announced and this must have been the only award I missed, but was later told The Bill had unfortunately won.

I did take some photos but I'll be surprised if I caught Georgia in frame or in enough light to be seen. I'll post any that come out (fingers crossed).

The Eastenders actress Charlie Brooks gives Georgia a mention in her interview with today's Sunday Mirror.

I hadn't realised until this week that Tristan Gemmill (Adam Trueman) played Leanne Battersby's drug councilor in 3 episodes of Corrie in January 2000. I found this screen capture of a very young looking Tristan in what was one of his first ever TV roles.

The actress, Emily Haigh, who played the little girl Katie whose mum died whilst driving a train and threw things at Ruth when she tried to treat her, has written about her Casualty experience on her school website. This was also Toby's last episode and he calmed her down using Dr Sockter.

7th April - Gillian Kearney on This Morning

Actress Gillian Kearney, who plays nurse Jessica in Casualty, is appearing on This Morning on Thursday 16th April according to the Radio Times magazine.

Both Georgia and Ben Turner (Jay) are in the cast list for the Casualty episode to be shown on 18th April, The Trap, according to the Radio Times website.

Ruth looked amazing again in last night's Casualty and especially amazing in that blue plunging dress in the bar scene! It was also nice to hear her call Jay an "irritating moron" after he had called her a "gorgeous sexpot with dark hair and smoldering eyes"! I sense the start of something special!

The BBC Programme information spoiler for the episode of Casualty on 18th April is now up. Its a relief as it had the potential to be another "Ruth wakes up with..." one!

The official BBC Casualty website has a new video interview with Janine Mellor who played Kelsey. The interview doesn't appear to be working at the moment but in the description it says Janine talks about her holidays and what her super-power would be. [Update: video is now working and best holiday is Turkey with Georgia and Matthew last year!]

The members of the cast of Casualty have been told they must learn to speak in Welsh accents in order to ensure their jobs when the show moves to Cardiff in 2011. The new BBC regional programming mandate demands that at least half of the show's cast must appear to be from the South Wales locality. The BBC have already employed a top voice coach who, along with Cardiff actor Charles Dale (Big Mac), have begun a series of evening training sessions.

Ruth is mentioned in What's On TV's online spoiler for this Saturday's Casualty episode, True Lies.

It was great to see Ruth come out of her shell tonight and Georgia was amazing playing the role of the drunk too! It also brought back memories of the time Toyah was sick over Les!

The half hour documentary, The Battersby Family Album is being repeated on Good Friday 10th April on ITV2 @ 13:00. Georgia reminisces about her time as Toyah  and recalls highlights such her watching the eclipse with Spider and saving Theresa the Turkey.

In the forthcoming Casualty episode showing on the 4th April, True Lies, Ruth treats a old adversary of Toyah's! Zoe Henry, who played Log in Coronation Street and who stole Spider away from Toyah until Toyah exposed her as being a meat eater, plays a character called Sandra Morley.

The BBC have, today, officially confirmed the move of Casualty from Bristol to Cardiff. The move will take place in 2011 according to the Guardian article. This is especially bad news for Georgia, who only bought her Bristol house last year.

Casualty has been nominated for the Best Continuing Drama Award at this year's BAFTAs alongside Eastenders, The Bill and Emmerdale. Its the first time Casualty has been nominated during Georgia's time on the show, having won the award in 2007 and failing to be nominated in 2008.

The ceremony is being held, for the1st time, at The Royal Festival Hall on Sunday April 26th and will be broadcast on BBC1.

19th March - Spoiler Thursday

LivingTV2 is re showing the episode of the documentary, The Real Extras, that features the regular Casualty porter, Oscar. Although it was filmed before Georgia's time its still interesting to see behind the scenes on the Casualty set. It can be seen this Saturday, 21st March, between 13:00 and 14:00.

Charles Dale (Big Mac) has a dedicated Casualty episode this weekend. In this interview he remembers previously challenging episodes he's had, like the Corrie Live episode (as Dennis Stringer) in 2000. Both Charles and Georgia can be seen celebrating saving the cobbles in this capture!

Poor Ruth! Her attempt at a social life was more Friday 13th than Comic Relief. I think she's much better off without that awful Chris guy though who didn't even have the decency to take an interest in Ruth's work and then made fun of her with his mates. Congratulations to Jane who gave birth to a baby boy, Alfie Sam Robert, weighing 7lb 15oz in the early hours of this morning (almost the same day as his Aunt Georgia!).

Although no official announcement on a planned move of Casualty from Bristol to Cardiff is due until the spring, a hint may have been given by Tom Harvey, chief executive of Northern Film & Media. In a recent speech he was quoted as saying;

...politicians in the West Country had intervened to persuade the BBC not to transfer the making of Casualty from Bristol to Wales.

It has just been announced on holby.tv that two Casualty cast members are leaving, Kelsey (Janine Mellor) and Snezana (Ivana Basic). They are both departing in the same episode to be shown on the 28th March. Janine was one Georgia's best friends on and off set so she'll miss her very much.

The full script of Sex and Death, Georgia's dedicated flashback episode of Casualty (transmitted on 9th Feb 2008), has been uploaded onto the BBC website. Its interesting to see within the script there are several scenes that were not shown on TV and we also find out what happened to Dr Doom! It also contains the scene where the patient is sick over Ruth! The link to the script (in pdf format) is here.

Amy's Georgia fan forum celebrates its first birthday this weekend. Its a great place to catch up with Georgia news and discussion and there's also lots of photographs of Georgia meeting her fans!

I managed to catch Matthew Needham's performance in Shades at the Royal Court yesterday. He's extremely good as Mark, a gay boyfriend of a Muslim who lives with the play's main character, a fashion show organiser called Sabrina. 

It was my first visit to the Royal Court since The Woman Before. The play wasn't staged in the main theatre where Georgia performed but in a really intimate loft space. Shades runs until 21st Feb and is well worth a visit. Guppy from Casualty (Elyes Gabel) also plays a friend of Sabrina's love interest.

I also managed to see the audience recording of Rhys Thomas's Above Their Stations, a new BBC3 sitcom pilot about Community Police officers. It was very funny especially the bits when Rhys corpsed which he blamed on having tonsillitis!

Appearing in this Saturday's Casualty is Kevin Doyle, playing a character called Alan Callerton. If Georgia has a scene with Kevin then it will be the 3rd time they have worked together. Kevin played Georgia's fiancé and husband in Blackpool and her father in New Street Law.

Unfortunately Rhys Thomas isn't now returning as Dr. Dominic Bidwell (Dr. Doom) in Casualty. So it looks like Histology is now History for Ruth. Many thanks to Sally from the Official Rhys Thomas website for finding out this information.

If you're in London on Saturday 7th February you can see Rhys filming his new sitcom "Above Their Stations" as a member of the studio audience at the ITV London South Bank Studios. Tickets are available free from sroaudiences.com.  

There were some very touching scenes between Ruth and Toby tonight. They've been through such a lot together in the past 18 months. Ruth will have to find someone else to bounce off now!

Matthew Needham who played Toby can be seen very soon at the Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square (the same theatre Georgia made her stage debut in The Woman Before). He stars in a play called Shades between 28th Jan and 21st Feb.

Over the holidays I attempted to make the chocolate brownies that Georgia and Phil made on This Morning. Despite following the recipe to the letter my effort wasn't as successful. It was a bit burnt, crumbled apart and the greaseproof paper was stuck to it like glue.

Still no news on when Dr Doom will be reappearing on Casualty. He was given a mention by Tom from Histology in last week's episode. Tom is played by Matt Green who is also a standup comedian and writer and has a official website.

Georgia's back featured very briefly in last night's Ant&Dec documentary!

In the preview clip for Channel Five's documentary on Ant & Dec Where Did It All Go Right? (this Wednesday 3rd December @ 22:00 - 23:00), Georgia and Sunetra can be seen presenting the pair with their 2008 TV Quick Award. So it might be worth tuning in!

Thanks to Gemma for spotting that the actress, Meryl Hampton, who played Rose Florence's mum in the Love Is Casualty episode, when Ruth saved her leg in a motorcycle accident, also played the mum of Denise Williams in Life on Mars.

Georgia, during her brownie making on This Morning last week mentioned that one of the regular resuses, Wayne, made mince pies and cakes for the cast. In tonight's Casualty Ruth name checked a Wayne in resus with the line "Wayne, can I have some mannitol?"

The BBC Press Office has now released its Casualty spoilers for the episodes on Sat Dec 20th, Sun Dec 21st and Sat Dec 27th and Ruth is very much involved in all the episodes! The spoilers can all be found here.

Last night's Dragon's Den: Duncan Bannatyne's Story featured some behind the scenes shooting (no Georgia, but still quite interesting) of The Girls' Club, the comedy pilot Georgia filmed in Newcastle in 2003. Apparently Duncan first heard about the Dragon's Den idea whilst filming the Girls' Club. The program is repeated this Wednesday, 26 November, @ 23:20 on BBC2.

Well done to Georgia who gave a heart rendering and brilliant acting performance in tonight's Casualty. Ruth is really expanding as a character and Georgia makes her very believable and the great thing is there's at least another year of Dr. Winters to come! Plenty of time to take revenge on Nick Jordan!

Georgia was interviewed on This Morning by Phil and Ruth and also made chocolate brownies with Phil! She was absolutely lovely as always! Hopefully I will have some more captures and videos later in case anyone missed it.

A great episode of Casualty tonight with steamy stuff between Ruth and Nick and Georgia's first screen kiss for a very long time! Ruth's hair was absolutely gorgeous too and I loved the mention of Rear of the Year by Toby! The BBC official site has a tempter clip for next week's episode up already.

There's a lovely interview with Georgia in today's Daily Express Saturday magazine in which Georgia reveals she's recently bought and is renovating a Victorian house in Bristol!

Congratulations to Georgia for winning 2 awards at the Holby.tv Awards 2008. Georgia won the Best Acting Performance of Series 22 and the Best Ever Acting Performance. Ruth's suicide attempt storyline also won the Favourite Series 22 Storyline category!

Georgia has drawn a lovely doodle of a flower for the Overgate Hospice (www.overgatehospice.org.uk). This is currently being auctioned on ebay along with a signed Ruth Winters card.

The official BBC website now has a trailer for next week's episode of Casualty, Impact, that shows Ruth featuring in two very significant scenes!

Georgia unluckily lost out in the 2008 National Television Award for Most Popular Newcomer. Interestingly, Jane Danson who plays Toyah's sister Leanne, also lost out in the very same category 10 years earlier. (Two years later Jane went on to win Rear of the Year!)

Unfortunately Georgia lost out to Rita Simons of Eastenders for the Most Popular Newcomer in last night's National Television Awards. Georgia had done incredibly well to make the final four and that was an honour in itself for both Georgia and Casualty. She'll always be my most popular!

Georgia is clearly very popular and liked as could be witnessed by the amount of hugs she was giving and receiving throughout the evening. I was fortunate enough to see Georgia arrive in the auditorium and was seated close to Georgia, Sunetra and Janine. On arriving, Georgia gave Sally Whittaker a big hug and then bumped into Paul O'Grady with another big hug! It was a great evening and I should have a fuller report and more photos later today.

It looks like Georgia will be attending tonight's National Television Award ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall as the seating plan was shown on today's GMTV. Georgia is seated between Michelle Keegan and Barry Sloane, slightly away from Sir Alan Sugar!

Best of Luck to Georgia in tonight's National Television Awards! Georgia has done incredibly well what ever happens and, according to this Telegraph article, has even had her name engraved on the silver plate to be screwed onto the trophy!

TV magazine, What's On TV, features Ruth Winters on its National Television Award voting page feature. Hopefully it'll be an omen as to the actual winner of Most Popular Newcomer on Wednesday night!

There's a very intriguing spoiler concerning Ruth within today's BBC Programme Information for the 15th November episode of Casualty.

Bruce Jones, who played Les Battersby in Coronation Street, is interviewed by Piers Morgan for his series The Dark Side of Fame tomorrow night on BBC1 @ 22:35.

After a week off Ruth returns in this week's Casualty episode, Hurt, according to the Radio Times cast list!

Dr Ruth Winters has made a list of the Top 20 "TV's Hottest Medics" on the Virgin Media website. Georgia is in exalted company alongside the likes of Richard Chamberlain and George Clooney!

With a lack of Georgia in this Saturday's Casualty Caroline has produced another one of her excellent video montages of Ruth in action on her Georgia Taylor youtube Channel.

For the first time in along time Georgia isn't in the cast list for a Casualty episode. This is according to the Radio Times list for this Saturday's episode entitled, Face Up.

Ruth showed a lovely turn of ankle in tonight's Casualty and her tattoo from Series One seems to have mysteriously disappeared!

Rhys Thomas is filming an episode of Casualty as Dr Doom this month according to the latest update from his official website.

BBC One now has its own flickr photo stream. The Casualty section contains a lovely photo of Toby and Ruth and also a nice group shot.

This week's TV Choice magazine has an interview with Michael French who plays heart surgeon Nick Jordan joining Casualty this Saturday. In the interview he says 'Ruth is soon in awe of him. She is like putty in his hands because she's willing to learn. But without giving too much away, they start to stray a little beyond their professional boundaries...'

Andrew Newton Lee who plays Stacey Merrick in Casualty is due to appear on this Friday's (19th September) episode of Loose Women.

Well done to Ruth who held her nerve under pressure and helped save Tess's life.

There will be two Georgias starring in this weekend's double Casualty episode. The South Wales Evening Post has a nice article about 10-year-old Georgia Bruce who plays patient, Amy Butler.

There's a new interview with Georgia (some spoilers) over at the newly revamped holby.tv website in which she talks about Ruth and her involvement in this weekend's Casualty series double opener.

Although Ruth doesn't feature in the BBC website clip of next weekend's double Casualty episode or in the Press Office programme information text she does feature in the radio advert. I caught the ad on Five Live this evening and Ruth can be heard shouting "BP's hit the deck! She's in VF".

I was lucky enough to catch Ruth's excellent Casualty trailer today after Diagnosis Murder and I've uploaded a copy to the website here. There's also an equally scary Dr Hanna trailer as well so hopefully Ruth's isn't an indication of how depressed she'll be in this series!

Today saw the launch of a new style BBC Official Casualty website and Ruth gets her very own trailer for the new series! There's also a brand new Ruth/Georgia profile page. The BBC Press Office site also unveiled an Autumn show reel that features the new series.

The Casualty Series 23 two part opener, "The Farmead Menace" is now being shown on the weekend of September 13-14th according to the BBC Press Office Programme Information page (spoilers). This is a week later than the dates originally stated on the holby.tv website.

Thanks to all who voted in the previous poll, whether Georgia should "Extend her current 18th month Casualty contract beyond 2008" or "Leave at the end of the year to pursue other roles.". A remarkable 97% thought Georgia should extend her contract. The new poll is related to the return of Dr Doom.

Dr Doom is returning to Casualty for 2-3 episodes in the New Year! This is according to the official Rhys Thomas website. Could this mean true love for Ruth or even an exit storyline for her?

Series 23 of Casualty starts with a double header episode on Saturday and Sunday the 6-7th September according to the holby.tv website. The following day, the 8th of September, Sky Box Office begin screening the The Bank Job.

A new video montage of Ruth's time so far on Casualty has been produced by holby.tv for youtube.

A lovely scene between Toby and Ruth provided a fitting end to a great series of Casualty. It seems such a short time ago they both started out as F2s together and now they're looking forward to a 2nd series working together! The official BBC website has a musical video montage of series highlights featuring lots of scenes and reminders of the events from the past 11 months.

With tomorrow being the last Casualty episode of the current series there's a chance to switch channels and watch a Corrie special of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire a week on Saturday (16th August) between 20:30 and 21:30 on ITV1. Georgia's close friends and ex-Corrie flat mates, Samia Smith (Maria) and Jennie McAlpine (Fiz) are paired as a team.

A lovely episode tonight! I particularly liked the scene where Ruth ordered the drunken patient to give up his can of lager and she was then holding the same as Professor Windsor appeared. I also sensed some chemistry between Professor Windsor's journalist friend and Ruth. Perhaps Ruth will finally achieve some romance in the very last episode of the series?!

Its taken 46 episodes but Ruth finally agreed to go for an after work drink in this week's Casualty! Ruth is also appearing in next week's episode as seen in the preview clip showing on the BBC Casualty website!

Caroline, a good friend of the site, has produced another great compilation tribute video to Georgia on youtube. The video features Georgia's performances from Coronation Street, Casualty, Blackpool, The Paul O'Grady Show, The Bristol Mile Run and many others.

Ruth is listed in the Radio Times cast list for this Saturday's (26th July) episode of Casualty entitled The Things We Do For.... The postponed Weakest Link Holby City/Casualty special is also being shown this Saturday on BBC1 between 18:00 and 18:55. Susan Cookson, (Dr Maggie Coldwell), will be appearing on This Morning a week tomorrow, Friday 1st August.

Christmas Is Miles Away, the play by Chlöe Moss in which Georgia gave many great performances as adolescent Julie Bridges on the Royal Exchange Manchester and The Bush London stages, is being brought back to life at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The play is being performed by the High Aces Theatre Company between 11-16th August. Details can be found on the official Fringe website here.

James Redmond, who plays Abs in Casualty, is appearing on tomorrow morning's (18th July) Richard Arnold Show between 08:25 and 09:25 on ITV1.

Georgia is listed in the Radio Times cast list for this Saturday's (19th July) episode of Casualty entitled Paradise Lost.

According to the bettingpro.com website, Georgia is 10/1 3rd favourite to win the Most Popular Newcomer category at this year's National Television Awards. Michelle Keegan (Tina in Corrie) is the hot favourite. Everyone will have to keep voting for Georgia! (I've only voted for Georgia 4 times so far).

The 1st episode of Lilies, "The Chit Behind King Billy", is being repeated on BBC HD tomorrow night, 10th July @ 23:00. Georgia plays Olympic swimmer, Phyllis Cook, in this episode.

Georgia is one of eight nominees in the "Most Popular Newcomer" category at this year's National Television Awards. You can vote for Georgia on the National Television Awards website here. Voting closes on 1st August and the ceremony will be held in October.

It was lovely to see Ruth again after almost a month's absence! Some nice role reversal going on with Ruth and Toby too and I loved Ruth's line about the trampoline! More good news is that Ruth is also in next week's episode as seen in the preview clip on the BBC website!

According to the Bank Job's director, Roger Donaldson when describing Georgia on the film's DVD commentary which was released today in the UK. He went on to say "I think she's done Coronation Street actually which I used to watch years and years ago."

Due to Wimbledon coverage yesterday evening's Weakest Link Holby City/Casualty special was postponed to a later date. However it can be seen using BBC's IPlayer at this link.

Ruth isn't listed in the Radio Times cast list for this Saturday's episode of Casualty, They May Not Mean to But They Do. Neither is Georgia appearing on The Weakest Link Holby City/Casualty special. According to a thread on the holby.tv forum, the Casualty team consists of James Redmond (Abs), Abdul Salis (Curtis), Matt Bardock (Jeff) and Charles Dale (Big Mac). Luckily The Bank Job DVD is out on Monday and Ruth is back the following Saturday!

To celebrate Becky becoming the 50th barmaid of The Rovers Return, ITV.com has assembled a slideshow of all 50 barmaids including a lovely photograph of the 38th one! Despite the slideshow ordering, Toyah definitely pulled her first pint after Geena. Interestingly Toyah is probably the only barmaid who never left the job as her departure was never explained.

A Weakest Link special featuring nine stars from Holby and Casualty is due to be shown on BBC1 next Saturday 28th June between 6.15 and 7.10 p.m. The Radio Times website states that James Redmond (Abs) will be one of the Casualty contestants.

There is no mention of Ruth appearing in the week on Saturday's episode of Casualty (28/06), but she is definitely appearing in the episode to be shown on July 5th according to the BBC programme information page (spoilers).

The producer of Casualty, Oliver Kent, has given an exclusive interview with the Digital Spy website. In the interview he talks about his time on Casualty since he first became series producer in January 2007 and he is also surprisingly revealing about future storylines including Ruth's. Georgia isn't listed in the cast for this Saturday's (14th) episode of Casualty , "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" Also there is no Casualty at all a week on Saturday (21st) due to Euro 2008.

After recently finding Georgia's appearance in Cleopatra and Friends (Parts 2 and 3) on YouTube, I have now found a brief clip of Georgia's guest role on Sooty and Co (Moving House) in a compilation of The Greatest Moments of Sooty and Co. Georgia and Bruce Jones appear with Matthew Corbett right at the beginning of the video which can be seen here.

Dominic Cooper, who co starred as Dakin to Georgia's Fiona in The History Boys movie, is appearing on The Paul O'Grady Show this Tuesday, the10th of June.

Jane Danson described Georgia as "one of my best friends in the whole world" in an interview published today on the MyPark magazine website.

Paul Fox, who starts a new role as clinical nurse manager Simon Tanner in Saturday's Casualty, is due to appear on tomorrow's This Morning show.

Today is Toyah's 26th birthday so hopefully she might get a mention by Janice or Leanne on tonight's Corrie!

Not long now to wait for the release of The Bank Job on DVD but there are a bewildering array of formats to buy. In the UK (Region 2) there appears to be only a single disk option which is released in normal and Blu-ray formats on Monday 30th June. No additional features have been announced for this disk. In the US (Region 1) there is an additional 2 Disk Special Edition that contains a host of features such as extended scenes, a making of featurette, and a Ditigal copy of the movie for use on a PC. This 2 Disk Special edition is released in normal and Blu-ray on Tuesday 15th July. Confused!?

A good friend of the site, Caroline, has produced some terrific videos of Ruth's time on Casualty accompanied by Howie Day's Collide and One Republic's Stop and Stare. They're both well worth a watch at this youtube link.

Last night's episode of Casualty saw an appearance by Richard O'Callaghan who played Harry the friend of Georgia's character, Molly in the Afternoon Play of the same name. He played Eddie Morris, the man who lost his girlfriend in the car crash.

This week's Radio Times features a behind the scenes look into the making of Casualty but there is no episode of Casualty next Saturday (24th May) due to the Eurovision Song Contest. Ruth will be appearing in the episode on 31st May according to the BBC Programme information (spoilers).

No updates for a week as I'm away but hopefully there'll be a double Casualty update next weekend.

A clip from Georgia's 2001 Soap Awards acceptance speech was shown during a montage of 10 years of best speeches on last night's British Soap Awards The After Party on ITV2. In her speech Georgia says, "I'm going to have to go before I do a Gwynnie" in a reference to Gwyneth Paltrow's famous Oscar speech.

Update 09/05: Thanks to Hannah for informing me that Toyah was also featured in the ITV1 main show during a best bits from 10 years of soap. This show is being repeated tomorrow, 10th May on ITV2 between 12:45 to 14:45.

Last night's Casualty was the best one yet! Ruth on the brink of suicide but then risking her life to save a young girl and then showing her maternal instincts with Maggie's grand daughter. It was also nice to see Ruth in civvies as she looks far more fetching in jeans than scrubs although I've not known anyone jog in jeans before!

In case you're not managed to catch The Battersby Family Album yet, it is being repeated very early next Saturday morning on ITV2. You can see Georgia being interviewed about her time on Corrie with the Battersbys and see lots of old clips of Toyah on Saturday 10th May between 06:00 and 06:30 a.m.

With Paul Fox joining Georgia on Casualty soon, I managed to dig out a capture of them together in a scene from Corrie. Its from Bobbi's flat warming party with Leanne and Spider taken from an episode shown during May 2000.

Ruth appears in the May 17th episode of Casualty according to the BBC Programme information page (spoilers). Could this be the episode where Ruth accepts the offer of an after work drink with her colleagues!?

Paul Fox, who once treated Georgia's Ellen Godber character for anorexia at the Royal and dated Toyah's sister as Mark Baldwin in Corrie is now to be Ruth's colleague at Holby General. According to a recent Daily Mirror article, Paul will be playing Simon Tanner, a clinical nurse manager in a private minor injuries unit, from next month.

Ruth features in the episode of Casualty to be shown on May 10th according to the BBC Programme information page (spoilers).

Channel Four are showing tonight @22.00 the drama-documentary, The Doctor Who Hears Voices, about a junior doctor called Ruth who suffers auditory hallucinations in the form of a male voice that tells her to commit suicide.

Ruth might be trying another suicide attempt in next week's episode of Casualty hinted at by this dramatic image from the current BBC Casualty website front page.

Georgia's current Casualty spell is set to continue with a starring storyline role in the episode to be shown on May 3rd according to the BBC Programme Information page (spoilers).

Georgia's short film, The Soul Shutter, where she plays a girl called Carrie duped by an evil photographer, is now available to watch in its entirety on the web. The film can be viewed as a Flash movie from the Big Tank Productions website under the Showreels menu item.

Neil Flynn (Tim Dantay), the man who pretended to be Toyah's father and held her hostage when she ran away to London to find her real father is now working as the building site foreman on the new Victoria Street flats.

Following her return to work last Saturday Ruth is also featuring in the next three Casualty episodes according to the BBC Programme Information website. Ruth is appearing in the episodes on 12th (spoilers), 19th (spoilers) and 26th (spoilers) of April.

Also, according to the Radio Times website, James Redmond (Abs) will be following in Georgia's footsteps and appearing on the Paul O'Grady Show on Tuesday 15th April.

It was great to see Ruth return to work in tonight's Casualty and it didn't take her very long to get back on form! Winding Toby up, correcting diagnosing patients and saving Maggie's granddaughter. I think in a few weeks she'll finally accept the offer of an after work drink!

Georgia appeared on this evening's Paul O'Grady Show looking lovely. She seems to get lovelier too if that's possible! In her interview she confirmed that originally Ruth wasn't meant to recover from her suicide attempt. There was talk of a possible future romance for Ruth and there being light at the end of the tunnel for the character. Georgia also won a balloon shaving competition beating the Matthew Kellys. I hope to have some captures and video up soon.

Despite being listed in the Radio Times cast list there was no Ruth in tonight's Casualty but she is definitely back next week! You can see see a clip of Ruth's return on the official BBC Casualty website.

Georgia is in the Radio Times cast list for this Saturday's Casualty, To Thine Own Self Be True. Susan Cookson has top billing so I guess there will be some scenes of Ruth convalescing at Maggie's house. The Radio Times also mentions Georgia's guest appearance on Monday's Paul O'Grady Show!

Also, according to the holby.tv forum, Tristan Gemmill (Adam) is appearing on tomorrow's This Morning show.

Georgia has always done her best interviews with Paul (not to mention some tap dancing too) and she's about to make a 4th appearance on his show! This time she will be talking about her life on Casualty, on Monday 31st March @17:00, according to the Radio Times website listing.

More good news is that Ruth is returning to work in the 5th April episode of Casualty!

Unfortunately there are no BAFTA nominations for either Casualty or Georgia this year. I suspect though that Georgia's brilliant portrayal of Ruth's suicide attempt may have occurred too late in the year to be considered for this year's awards. Georgia isn't featured in the cast list for the Easter Saturday edition of Casualty, Face The World, so perhaps Ruth is hiding from the world at Maggie's.

Here are Georgia and Sam at the Bristol Sport Relief Mile. Well done to Georgia and all the Casualty cast members who gave up their free time on a cold and wet Sunday morning for a good cause! Perhaps Ruth will be inspired to run to work again from Maggie's house!

Georgia's appearance in The Sport Relief Mile was repeated tonight on BBC1's Points West show and is still available (for 24 hours) for streaming from their website. Georgia and Sam (who plays Alice) are interviewed toward the end of the clip as are Tristan (Adam) and Gilliam (Jessica).

Georgia appeared this afternoon on the The Sport Relief Mile Show on BBC1. Georgia was interviewed as she started her run and she mentioned that today was the only day she had off this week from filming Casualty. Many thanks to Caroline who spotted Georgia!

Ruth is fourth in the cast list for this Saturday's Casualty, Diamond Dogs, behind Charlie, Maggie and Zoe. Sunetra Sarker who plays Zoe will be on Entertainment Today tomorrow (08:35 on ITV1). Thanks to Hannah for the information!

Another programme to look out is Masterchef Goes Large on UKTV Food this coming Monday, 17th March (20:00-20:30, plus various other time slots), where the finalists cook a meal for the cast and crew of Casualty.

It was lovely to see Ruth open her eyes and move her arm in last night's Casualty. Toby was also excellent if a little harsh on Ruth during his bedside monologue. Hopefully she'll make a full recovery and be back working alongside Toby very soon.

Not long to wait for the release of The Bank Job on DVD. According to amazon.co.uk, the film is out on Blu-Ray DVD on June 30th!

According to today's BBC website, The Bank Job movie topped the UK box office this week. The film launches in the US this Friday, March 7, and there is now a completely different official website for the US market, thebankjobmovie.com (warning very slow to load).

Unfortunately Simon MacCorkindale (Harry Harper) didn't appear on This Morning today after all.

If you haven't seen The Bank Job yet its well worth a trip to the cinema. Georgia looks great in a red bob wig and tiny mini dresses and she looks even better 20 feet tall! Georgia is in half a dozen short scenes in the film and does have more lines than she had in The History Boys. All of Georgia's scenes were still present from when I saw the preview but the love scene between Jason and Saffron had suffered a D-Notice and was longer there. The plot of the film keeps you interested all the way through and there's lots of other British actors to look out for.

The official BBC Casualty website now has a preview video of next week's episode and its a real eye opener!

holby.tv has some interesting spoiler news about Ruth for the Casualty episode to be shown on March 8th.

If you'd like to see a more animated Georgia, albeit in a small role, then The Bank Job film opens in cinemas nationwide today.

Ruth is listed in the Radio Times credits for this Saturday's episode of Casualty, Silent All These Years, and is listed quite high - higher than several regulars who aren't in comas.

Simon MacCorkindale who plays Ruth's boss, Harry Harper, in Casualty is appearing on This Morning on Tuesday 4th March. Hopefully he'll be able to give an update on Ruth's condition.

Georgia's short film, The Soul Shutter, was shown at the CornerHouse film theatre in Manchester on Tuesday night. 

The film follows Georgia's character, Carrie, as she enters a photographer's (The Soul Shutter) studio to have her portrait taken and ends up captured inside the photographs of previous customers on the studio wall. Carrie brings the subjects to life by touching them on the shoulder and with their help manages to outwit a pursuing Soul Shutter.

Being a fantasy type adventure it was something very different and interesting from Georgia's other work and was really well produced. Georgia made the film during the time of The Bank Job so she was also in her gorgeous red hair period!

The film's director, Hamish Scadding, and computer graphics director, Gareth Harrison were both present and it was really nice talking to them both after the screening.

I've only just about thawed out from a trip to the World Premiere of The Bank Job. Almost suffered from hypothermia and Georgia wasn't there! Every limo that pulled up I thought, "Georgia must be in this one!" I did see Jason Statham and Keeley Hawes, Gareth Gates and Samanda from BB among others.

Ruth Langsford when interviewing Jessie Wallace on last Friday's This Morning brought up Kat Slater and mentioned that they'd had Georgia on the week before. Ruth then quoted Georgia as saying that she couldn't escape people thinking of her as Leanne Battersby and that they still shout "Oigh Leanne!" to her.

Georgia might have the opportunity to meet her idol tomorrow night as Madonna is due to attend the post-premiere Bank Job party at the Paper Club. Georgia has been a fan of Madonna since she was six and once bought a Vivienne Westwood dress almost identical to the one worn by Madonna in the Frozen video. The Storys, Georgia's Bank Job character, Ingrid's wedding band are currently rehearsing "Like A Virgin" to play at the event according to icWales.co.uk.

It was really strange not seeing Ruth in the E.D. tonight. Its the first episode this series that Ruth hasn't been there in person but it was good to know she's still in everyone's thoughts.

It is now safe to say that The Bank Job World Premiere in Leicester Square will be taking place this coming Monday, Feb 18th. Several website competitions are advertising this as the day of their prize including Virgin, the Daily Mirror and Zoo. Hopefully the weather will be the same as last Monday!

The Times Online has given last Saturday's Casualty an excellent review which concludes with this lovely paragraph;

At the episode's end, Ruth was still just about alive. I hope she makes it. It is rare to see such a rounded character on screen or, indeed, such rounded eyes as those of the actor Georgia Taylor.

Well done to Georgia for an amazing episode of Casualty last night. All her hard work really paid off with a heart breaking performance. I loved all the new scenes which worked really well with the clever touches of seeing scenes from previous episodes extended. I loved the Northern accent thing as well!

All the TV listings for tonight's Casualty have a starting time of 20:35. I think Ruth Langsford must have made a mistake at the end of yesterday's This Morning interview with Georgia when she stated the starting time was 21:10.

I've finally discovered the married surname of Georgia's character Ingrid (and hence Eddie's surname) in The Bank Job movie. Its Ingrid Burton according to The Bank Job's cast page on the BFI website.

Georgia gave a lovely interview this morning on This Morning with Eamonn and Ruth. She talked about how in tomorrow night's episode someone is sick over her and a mixture of weetabix and apple juice sinks through her scrubs down to her bra. She also revealed her mum, Caroline, has just had an operation and watched last week's episode from hospital. Georgia said she is fine now. Georgia also spoke about how she broke up watching Vera's final episodes on Corrie.

A quick reminder that Georgia is due to join Ruth Langsford and Phillip Schofield on tomorrow's This Morning show sometime between 10:30 and 12:30.

Very sad news from corrieblog.tv today that Jane Danson's father, Jack (pictured with Georgia at last year's Soapstar Superstar), passed away at the weekend. Sympathies to Jane and her family at this very sad time.

On this day 5 years ago Georgia appeared as Toyah in Coronation Street for the final time. The list of Georgia's achievements in TV, theatre and movies since is considerable and its a tribute to her that she continues to earn critical acclaim and acting headlines as we speak.

There are a number of websites currently offering free preview screenings of The Bank Job. Several point to the site, seefilmfirst.com, where you can enter a pin number to obtain tickets. It now appears that the Leicester Square Odeon premiere of The Bank Job movie has been changed from Monday 25th February to Monday 18th February.

Georgia's wikipedia entry is reporting that Georgia left Casualty on 2nd February 2008. Wikipedia is never wrong of course!

Congratulations to Georgia on a remarkable performance tonight! It must be her strongest performance on television since Toyah's rape and I think it was even stronger than that. I thought the suicide might appear contrived since it came some what out of the blue but Georgia's acting abilities made the lead up to it seem very believable. Not many actresses can reduce people to tears like she did tonight!

The website, lowculture.co.uk, has given tonight's Casualty a brilliant review (spoilers) and in particular they praise Georgia's, who they describe as "phenomenally talented and hugely sympathetic", contribution to the show's recent resurgence.

The short film Georgia made just over a year ago, Soul Shutter, is being given a public screening at the CornerHouse film theatre, Oxford Road, Manchester as part of a North West Vision and Media Digital Shorts evening.

The event takes place on one night only, Tuesday 19th February 2008 18:20-20:20. Tickets are free and full details can be found on the CornerHouse website.

A quote from this week's TV Times about tomorrow's Casualty episode and Georgia has given a big interview for next week's edition out on Tuesday.

Georgia has told her mum and dad not to watch this Saturday's episode of Casualty because they'll find it too shocking, according to an interview she gave to this week's Total TV Guide magazine.

This Saturday's episode is already receiving rave reviews including this one (tiny spoiler only) from the Radio Times who aren't normally Casualty biggest fans.

Abs and Toby are featured on the latest front page of the holby.tv website. The look on their faces say it all. Also holby.tv have updated their Georgia profile page with a new b+w publicity image that you may not have seen before.

The official BBC Casualty website's preview of next week's episode, "Before A Fall" is now up. A warning for those with a sensitive nature, the climax to preview clip is very upsetting.

Georgia recently attended the wedding of fellow Wigan actress Lucy Gaskell who, like Georgia, attended St Peter's High School and Winstanley College. Lucy married actor, Mark Bonnar, who played nurse Bruno Jenkins in Casualty. Details of the wedding can be found on wigantoday.net.

The characters from Ruth's diary entries have been  given credits for the February 9th episode of Casualty so its likely they'll come to life in flashbacks. Dr Doom is played by Rhys Thomas, perhaps best known as Paul, the foil for Swiss Toni in The Fast Show, and Rachel is played by Clare Perkins.

The official Bank Job website is now operational with lots of great stuff about the movie. Its one of the better designed flash websites too and well worth a visit!

We know now the "drastic course of action" that Ruth will undertake in the coming weeks. It is described in the BBC Programme Information (spoilers) for the episode to be shown on the 9th of February. Its a very sad tale with the contents of Ruth's diary revealing much of what she has been going through as well as explaining the mystery paging.

The good news is that Georgia will be appearing on This Morning on the 8th of February to discuss the storyline!

Ruth only featured in a small way last night in a scene where Kelsey seemed to undermine her authority with a patient. Next week's Casualty features Ruth in a strong storyline involving her own past. The BBC Casualty website has a preview video.

Matthew Needham who plays Ruth's fellow F2, Toby, gave an interview to the thisisbristol.co.uk website in December. Matthew was in a similar position as Georgia having to relocate to Bristol but, unlike Georgia, he appears to have been very phobic about hospitals and gore. The interview took place on the Casualty set and at one point was interrupted by orange flashing lights as one of Georgia's scenes was being filmed.

Arts Council England are proposing to cut the Bush Theatre's funding by half. Georgia appeared at the Bush two years ago in Christmas Is Miles Away and it would be a real shame to see the theatre close. The theatre has set up an online petition to help argue its case of excellence before the response deadline of 15th January.

Ruth might not have received any texts over the New Year but she is starting to receive messages on her pager. Who could be the mystery pager?

Can you guess who the little girl on the train at MacDonalds is? Yes its Georgia aged 6 years old! Its taken from an article Georgia did with Now magazine many moons ago. You can read the full article and see several other photos of Georgia including one of her with the cast of Joseph in 1994.

Lionsgate, the distributors of The Bank Job, have produced film Production Notes in which the costume designer, Odile Dicks-Mireaux, describes how Ingrid was based on a young Cilla or Lulu. The notes (Word Doc) also give a brief resumé of Georgia's career.

This weekend's Casualties have to be the best episodes so far this series and the Ruth/Nadia storyline was very believable. Its sad though that Ruth can't make any friends and she was lost without her soul mate Toby.
